29It's a rest station beside the road in California. It was clean. There are no amenities though there are outside tables.
They need to keep the rest room door closed. So maybe it would stay a bit warmer. But it was nice and clean.
Good place to stop going over the Grapevine with plenty of room to get out and stretch, exercise pets and enjoy a picnic lunch.
A MAJOR PROBLEM IS THE COCKAROACHES FROM SMALL TO BIG IN AND ALL AROUND THE DIRT AREAS. Positive side: The bathrooms are clean and amazing. There is so many vending machines from hot coffee to cue tips, aspirin, candy, chips, ice cream, things that u wouldn't imagine coming from vending machines is here. There is room to sit stretch and even take a walk.
Really liked this place. Stopped for the first time in years that we go through the freeway because my dogs needed a break from travelling and really loved it.
It's a quiet peaceful area. I don't know if it was just me or maybe he works for the rest area but a man sat alone for an hour mostly facing my direction. I'm a female who travels alone, a couple was nice enough to keep an eye out as I put water in my car.why? Because it's not the first time I've noticed someone follow me. Picture is blurry but if you zoom in you'll see his body. The couple made sure he didn't follow me when i left like the other man did.

Probably the prettiest rest area between LA and San Jose, with big trees and attractive plantings. Not as crowded as some of the others, either.
Three adults and two kids were broke down for close to five hours. Waiting on a AAA truck to come and take us home. By the way if you don't have AAA purchase it it's the best money you will ever spend. During our time here at the rest area we had a table a very nice breeze and it was very comfortable. I highly recommend stopping here if you need to.
