Gen Korean BBQ House reviews
29Only giving a 5 star because Gens is probably the only Kbbq restaurant that has great customer service.however their marinade recipes are like a 8th grade English classs bbbbooooorrring?
Favorite place. Justin our server kept giving us our brisket platter everything were running low. I like how you can checkin and the text you when ur tables ready.
Our server Delilah was super friendly super efficient very fast service although she was working several tables she was able to keep up I’ve never had such a great service at any of the other locations that I’ve been to in different cities this was the best thank you Delilah keep up the great work you did super️
Doesn't understand the concept of time, and as a result will say your pick-up order is ready at 7: 30 when they really mean 8: 15.
Family of 5 went to celebrate a birthday and the music was to loud, beer flat but was replaced tasting better. Service was good gut I personally did not like cooking are food.
Our server Ben was super on top of it and some of the best service we’ve ever had! He was fast with requests and checked up on us all the time. He’d go above and beyond! Food was also great! Wait wasn’t as long as we assumed (~20 min)
More like 3.5 stars. Slower service. We asked for a few things that didn't come until we were already paying our bill and leaving. I liked the sauces and the meat selection. Kim chi was ok.
Not much to say the price for what you get is great, great place for those on keto and those who arnt. Always a great place large parties and small but no single riders it could get boring alone
Wait time was great. Got there before the rush. Food was awesome, if you enjoy cooking it yourself. Favorite is the beef bulgogi. Saw the waiter less and less as is got busier. But they do clean up the empty dishes and replace grill plate very quickly.
We usually have a good experience but our server went out of his way to lie to us. We were told they were completely out of potato salad and there wouldn't be any the whole night, later another server comes by and ask if we need anything and we asked if they were out of potato salad and he said no and brought us some. We then ask our original server if there would be any and he repeated there will be none the rest of the night. So anytime we saw the other server we would ask him if he could bring us potato salad and he was more than happy to do so. So THANK YOU KYLE for the great service. The other guy forgot his name tall, white guy with red hair forgot his name sorry my request was an inconvenience to you on 1/2/2020 at 7pm.
A really terrible restaurant that has no idea how these high ratings come about. When we arrived here at noon today, we found that there were about three or four cars parked sporadically at the gate. And then after we entered the restaurant, there was no receptionist at the front desk, but we could understand that there must be not enough people, so the receptionist went to help others. Turning around, she noticed that there was a waiter behind the counter, sorting out something. She noticed our arrival but gave a response that was like clouds floating over her head (no response, no greeting, no attempt to help find the receptionist). We look at her just as we look at the paintings on the walls of Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. She's not static, but she can't leave her place. It's such a funny scene. After waiting for about three to five minutes, a waiter came slowly, asked how many of us there were, asked us to wait, and turned away. There was another long wait, and as I looked around, I realized that, as I had guessed, there were not many guests. There are only tables in twos and threes. However, some of the tables still have food scraps from previous guests, but apparently, no one is cleaning them (we've been standing here for about six or seven minutes). After waiting another five minutes or so, we lost all patience and decided to leave. Maybe the food is delicious, maybe it's three Michelin stars, but the service is the other extreme. By contrast, the one at the diamond square in Rowland heights is completely different.
Love Gen. Nothing but great things to say. Great service, especially Kyle he works lunch time and is a great server working his way through college. Portions are good sized and many different tastes to try. You can also do half orders so you can try everything. Best KBBQ prices around.
I've been to many Gen Korean Bbqs. This location is by far the BEST ONE! Great service and the quality of the meats are GREAT! This location has the best Spicy Pork Belly, nice and thick! You will not be disappointed in this location! (only one slight area that needs to be looked at was the water does taste funny which when we went to eat our friends sodas tasted funny too. (assuming they use the same water to make ice cubes?). Other than that it was great!
Awesome lunch! It was $16.99 all you can eat of the lunch meats menu. The Top Blade and Short Ribs were delicious. Also recommend the Hawaiian Steak, Teriyaki Pork Chip, and classic thin sliced brisket. The service was excellent our waiter constantly changed our grill top and kept our drinks full. Really enjoyed it and will return.
Great place. Hard to eat there when it's hot outside. You are cooking your food on a grill right in front of you.
One of the cheaper Korean bbq places with dinner at $21.99 and lunch around $17 or $18. Service can get slow when its busy and the portions are quite small compared to Wang Cho. Very trendy environment and they have great Spicy Tofu soup. Overall fun experience
Honestly do not go to any other kbbq place after I discovered GEN 5 years ago. Best kbbq place ever. Strongly recommend the red wine pork belly on their ayce dinner menu
In comparison to other Gen Korean BBQ this one was pretty small. The service I would compare it that to Buffalo Wild Wings. And I'll just say I'm not the biggest fan of Buffalo Wild Wings. It is pretty standard the basic layout of the food side orders and everything else. Nothing special about this location. Would I come here again yes, but it will not be my first choice if there are other Gen's in the Inland Empire.
Their meat is great quality, the menu has a wide variety to choose from and be adventurous, the price is probably average for the scale of the establishment. $23-$25 per person. They have nice little robots that deliver the meat to your table, while still having waiters to take care of your orders and drinks. It is a large restaurant and it has beautiful decor and setting. The staff is very knowledgeable and polite.
Service was slow when place got busy. When you're hungry and waiting to get food then having to wait until it cooks you can get hangry. Unlimited portions was great though, good value.
