Bitter and average coffee at best- they definitely don’t know how to dial in an espresso machine to pull good shots. Good pastries

Delicious espresso but cold service especially for a slow paced 2: 25pm on a Tuesday. No one behind the counter even made eye contact (and I did tip). A little humanity goes a long way fellas!

Good vibe and lots of good pastry options. Mocha was good but cappuccino was a little bitter. Should have guessed - if they ask what size cap you want it's not going to be smooth.

Best Almond Latte in Venice! Forget Superba, Forget Blue Bottle, Forget Erewhon, Forget them all! This is where you want to come to pay a decent price for a tasty morning shot of goodness.

The service was amazing and the burrito I got tasted like a Michelin star restaurant remade the burrito. Amazing! Hard to describe how tasty it was. Almost came back to hug them

Gotta stop by if you looking for good food.

Not sure why there’s any good reviews. Coffee was weak with low flavor profiles. Not a fan of Starbucks but I’d go there before this place. Staff was semi rude and entitled. Plenty of other options nearby.

Great vibes, but the coffee isn't as good as it used to be, and they charge an arm and a leg. $4 a cup, if you bring your own mug, makes Starbucks look cheap. It also said "pour over" when the girl rang me up, but it's not, as that implies, a pour over cup of coffee. Just a big thermos with a tap like you'd see at any gas station, and tastes like it's been sitting for a few hours. I'm bummed, because years ago, I used to come here every day, and had great previous experiences.

I'm not sure what it is but I was not a fan of this place at all. I ordered a simple chai latte and it tasted nothing like a chai latte. I didn't even take more than 3 sips because it was so gross and after those 3 sips it went straight to the trash which was a shame because it was not a cheap cup. I will give 5 stars to the staff for being really kind and work quickly when there is a long line and 5 starts for the area due its several seating area. This location is not in the best location, civic center area, but this place can get busy so come here early as you can. This place gets busy at lunch at as well. For those of you whole enjoy this place, great, but I will be sticking to my Starbucks from now on.

Giving three stars because in 2020 in a city like LA, I was hella disappointed to receive me coffee and avo toast not in a mug or on a plate but in a throwaway cup and in a to go container that included plastic. I didn’t ask for any of my items to go. I wasn’t asked if I was eating in or taking away. It was just assumed that I was and that’s not ok with me nor should it be the standard these days. We have to do better for the planet than that. However, my chai was great and the avo toast was solid (just go a little lighter on the chili oil!) so taste wise, solid 4.5 stars. And I like the atmosphere of this Groundwork + the location.

Oh my! Best coffee I ever had, I walk in, just to see what was this place all about, and so I look a the board menu, and I choose Ethiopian light blend honestly one of the best coffee I ever drink I normally don't post but when I do, I do it right I love this coffee shop, among the others I pay 3.50 for a small coffee but oh well it's well worth it!

Love it. Great coffee, tea, and other drinks. As a native of Venice Beach, I came back after many years away, I felt chillin" and right back at home. Did I mention they roast their own beans, always have. I learned of "free trade coffee from them umpteen years ago.

We frequented this joint for breakfast, salads & coffee while staying in Cali for the week. It was the perfect find! The coffee was clean and pure.tasted so good along with their meals. The atmosphere is the kind of place you hang out with anyone. I saw families, people just meeting up, people doing meetings, studying, sharing tables and a couple IG stars.nothing pretentious about the place. Loved it so much bought their awesome coffee tumblers and a T! A Must see if ever near there!

Came here to work on my laptop and eat lunch around 11 am on a weekday and the place was packed. They do have more seating inside in the back but that was filled up also. I was forced to go outside but thankfully their wifi reaches to their outside patio! The food wasn't bad but it wasn't the best portabello sandwich I've ever had either. Their coffees are better but this place is definitely overpriced.

Never visited the place looks like it might be a good place to get your Joe on in the AM very yuppy as the Venice location is close to Santa monica and the 18 Big Blue Bus stop is very close as well. Just visited today the coffee 4 stars the service well I can't rate it as the staff did not speak I thought I was in the laand of Zombies.

Best for working and a special beverage.
This place inspires me very much. Their spaces are welcoming and cozy. WiFi and plugs are free-spirits-friendly. The smell of coffee and good vibes-people are a good combination that makes this place my fav in venice.
I love their chai Almond Latte + they have
Kombucha + other vegan options!

The original coffee place in Venice, go there and you see coffee history. Nitro brew is greatly appreciated. Everyone who works there is awesome.

Cozy little cafe with good Wi-Fi but no love for pets sadly. Decent prices and pretty good coffee plus it's just off the beaten path so it's not too crowded. Good for a quick snack, afternoon meeting or lunch break.

The 5 stars are for the frothy deliciousness of Groundwork Coffee’s nitro cold brew on draft (without ice).
