Groundwork Coffee Co. reviews
33Lovely little place to get a warm and strong cup of coffee. Great place to catch up on some work or reading a book.
There's a lot of good coffee in L. A, but there's something about Groundwork that seems to put everyone in a good mood. Love the cozy atmosphere, almond milk lattes, and the plentiful space for working
We stopped in for a late evening cup. Atmosphere was really pleasant. The decor and music really drove the experience. All we had was standard coffee and it was tasty. Nice pick me up if you are in the area.
They make great iced mochas. I’ve been to a lot of coffee shops and a lot of them make their iced
mochas way too sweet. Groundworks does it just right. Some of the employees are nice, but a few of them are too serious and it seems like they’re mad.
I've been there twice and the food was as amazing as the coffee. The short rib hash is Superb. It's not your typical hash, but a layering of flavor; Country potatoes, spinach, short rib, poached eggs with a Harissa hollandaise sauce, with an English muffin makes for one of the best breakfasts ever.
I'm an Americano guy, but I've branched out a few times and can genuinely say that the homemade cashew milk is a delight, definitely on the sweet side, but try a drink that has it in it.
Best lattes ever, great customer service, and gluten free yummy baked goods: coffee cake, pear muffins, and much more. This is the place to go for the best coffee in Santa Monica.
It's impossible for me to be in Venice and not stop at GW for a meal and a tall nitro cold brew. 10 years now and even though I moved away from VB this is still a must visit. The rustic ambiance, non corporate vibe, the local Venizens and the superb coffee and delicious healthy food are the reason. Thank you GW for filling my cup with goodness!
My go-to for great coffee in LA area. Their Ethiopia "Made to Order" and their Nitro Cold Brew are amazing. No need for sugar or milk in my opinion. They also make a good Americano (8oz).
Coffee is the best, especially Bitches' Brew. Baked goods are excellent with gluten -free options that are so tasty I usually order them even though I do not have a gluten-free diet. The location on Rose Avenue is in a refurbished stable for added local color.
Food was really good but that was about it. It was expensive which was ok but you had to pay for a second cup of coffee with breakfast.
Delicious coffee and decent food. Street parking can be tricky. The pastries are pretty good. Not cheap, but the coffee is excellent.
Very cool little place, awesome breakfast and coffee, I come all the time now, there are a bunch of vegetarian options if you don't like meat and it opens pretty early.very nice! They even have a rewards program. I love it. Staff is a little moody sometimes, but who isn't like that in LA? Hahaha smile people!
It's a nice place with good food and friendly people. I reserve 5 starts for exceeding expectations, but I would still recommend if you're looking for something like a local coffee shop.
