I definitely recommend Optum Urgent Care! Everyone that I came in contact with was very organized and nice. Super plus for being clean in every part of the office that I saw. Dr. Helen was very nice. Dr. Shadpour answered all of my questions he was very informative and super nice! Dr. Nguyen was also nice, we even had a laugh or two. I could tell that all 3 doctors love what they do, I was not rushed out in any way. Customer Service from check in to check out was great.

Got turned away for a covid test on a Saturday because I didn't have an order from the DR. So there advice is to return on Monday with an order from the Dr. Thats a whole 48 hours to wait for a test after I told them I had close contact exposure to someone positive. So much for having insurance.

The is the first time I have been here since the urgent care changes management from healthcare partners to optum.
While the wait was actually very quick, the physicians assistant, PA, did not seem to have a grasp of the pain I have been in, or some of the other co- existing issues I have. Without having confirmed from a MD that I did not have a break in my ribs or knee, she told me that I was in good shape with a sprain.
Experience has taught me that sprains are more painful than breaks.but both are debilitating as far as I am concerned.
I felt she offered sub-“optum” care.

While this facility is very close to my house, for the future, I feel like I will be in better hands at the Exercise Urgent Care on Del Mar Blvd, where I have been treated by actual physicians many times, and feel that I am in much better hands.

Grateful for DeMar who assisted with getting my Mother, an Optum HealthNet patient tested for Covid. He went out of his way to take care of her immediately and deliver results within 20 mimutes. Thank you for showing care and concern, we appreciate you. God Bless, please take care.

I went to Pasadena Urgent Care because I believed I had a broken hand. After waiting for a long, long time, I was finally taken to an exam room, where I waited again for a long time. I heard people talking in the hallway, and kept hoping my doctor would come, but at 6: 00 pm it sounded like people from the hall were leaving, and all the lights went out. I felt my way around the room to find a light switch and was able to get out. I was so freaked out that I didn't even try to find anyone running the front desk to tell what had happened. I thought this was a place to go at night after usual doctors' offices were closed.

So grateful for the wonderful care I received at this facility. Very caring and thorough doctors, nurses, and staff. I cannot thank them enough for taking such good care of me and my serious cat bite infection and prevented me from having to go to the hospital.

I brought my daughter this morning for the first time. Overall, I was very pleased with the level of urgency and care all of their staff exercised to provide her care. Even though they had patients ahead us, we still went in rather quickly and I'm very appreciative of their service and the treatment they rendered. I've been to other urgent care and this one is definitely the best one yet. Thank you.

My whole family has received treatment at the HCP urgent care over the past 20+ years. The physicians, PA's, NP's, nurses and staff are the best.

The wait is long, waited 3 hours, the facility is dirty, staff not so friendly.
Dr. Roberts was very nice but the nurses not so nice, no empathy for sick people.

The effing worst! The worst telephone staff in the world. No one is kind or curteous. All curt and rude. It literally makes you never want to call or come back! The Drs.are amazing but the front desk staff and people on phones are the worst. Definitely no bedside manner.

They were the only ones open on Thanksgiving holiday. They were very kind when I was extremely sick, wait time was about 30 minutes and the total visit with tests, diagnosis, IV and everything took about 2 1/2 hours but they were very kind and attentive.

They put more time in decorations than helping people. We came here second and even the first person had to wait for half an hour to be treated. More people came and complaint about the wait time, their response was uhm yes this how it is in urgent care. *Smh*
On a side note Dr. Mark was great during the diagnostics.

Staff are kind. Doctors are very attentive; they listen well and genuinely try to help. I hear the waits can be long, but my experiences in the waiting room have been very brief. The distance I drive is worth the quality care my family and I have received.

Not a long wait.really clean office. They know who to take when.in the lobby based on urgency. Their general number has you on hold for a long time.which is not cool but if you have to go there I've found parking to be validated, clean lobby, nice environment and reasonable pricing.

Nice, great clean facility. The front desk staff are amazing and very helpful when checking in. The wait wasn’t that long, but do go early in the morning if you can. The doctor (female) was kind, compassionate and very understanding of my need to not be prescribed antibiotics with out proper testing first. Definitely will be coming back here! Arrived at 730am-was out by 9: 45am

I've had great and terrible experiences at this Urgent Care facility. Today was the worst. Support staff is great, the doctor seeing patients today is awful. I will be changing my coverage to Keiser after this experience, even if it's a little farther from home. I am glad that open enrollment on medical plans is coming up next month.

SEVERE NEGLIGENCE in this office. I lived a waking nightmare here, and truly believe that I could have died. I came to Urgent Care because I was having a severe allergic reaction to a medication that I was prescribed by a doctor out of state. I was already completely covered in hives with swelling ears, face and tongue when a nurse came to check on me in the waiting area. I explained exactly what was happening and that I believed I needed a steroid injection. I did not know that they don't have epinephrine pens at Urgent Care. I should have been immediately sent to the ER. What happened instead? I was eventually taken to a room by the same "RN" who had clearly never worked in this office before. She tried to take my medical history, and despite my repeating the names of the medication that I was on several times and spelling them LETTER by LETTER, she was unable to enter them into the computer. I explained that I was fairly certain I was having a reaction to the Bactrim DS which I had been taking. She said because I wasn't taking it at that moment that she wouldn't put it in my chart. She asked if I had changed my laundry detergent recently. She was unable to see the difference between a contact allergy rash and the SEVERE case of hives that I was experiencing. She then took me to a room, far away from other patients and hospital staff, ALL ALONE NEARING ANAPHALACTIC SHOCK, because my "rash" might be "contagious". I opened the door to my room so that maybe I could yell down the hallway if I needed help. I started trembling, not in fear, but I believe because I was slipping into Anaphylaxis. I couldn't think straight and walked down the hallway to the staff in back and said I needed to go to the ER to get an injection. They said sorry, we haven't released you. An actual nurse saw that I was in distress and put me in the closest room to the desk and went to talk to the doctor. After another 20 or so minutes I came back out - I was starting to shake, a lot. I really wanted to go to the ER, but I felt completely helpless. I just wandered back to my room and sat with the door open in case my airway closed. Maybe I could roll out into the hallway. Finally a doctor came in and ordered a steroid injection. He chided me for not giving my health history to the "RN". I was too weary and worn down to even explain other than to say "I tried. I'm confused". I felt myself slipping away. Finally the nurse came back and gave me the shot. She said I was probably shaking because I had "taken too much Benadryl". I hadn't. Within a fairly short amount of time of receiving the shot, I started to feel some semblance of myself come together. When checking out, the information on my release sheet didn't actually say that they had given me the shot, but I was too exhausted to bother correcting the mistake and left.

I felt completely dismissed at this office, with my life in their hands. I do not have anxiety around medical issues - I can withstand a great amount of pain without so much as a wince. This was different. I was in a state of shock and needed IMMEDIATE attention and treatment. I can't see any other reason that they kept me there other than they wanted to bill me. Even the doctor said that I probably should have gone to the ER. Isn't that what the people initially evaluating me should have told me? How was I to know? I won't make the mistake of going to this place ever again, and neither should you. Don't risk your life.
