Wonderful service they provide for the many animals deserted by a-hole humans. Great caring staff and the facilities are the best in the area. Plenty of space for animals to roam instead of being cooped up in cages all day. They also have a great adoption program

I love the animals here but I’ve tried to come here many times before to adopt a cat but the volunteer staff where the cats are at are so rude. Back when I went it was two elderly ladies working and they were extremely rude. They approached me and my fiancé and asked if we’re ready to adopt today and we responded with “not yet but we’d like to look at them first to decide” and they just walked away from us without saying anything to us to another couple and did the same thing to them. I ended up not wanting to come to this place to find a pet to adopt.

Great place. The staff are really friendly and are extremely patient in answering all questions. Their website is also uptodate with all information. The dog seem happy and healthy. They have a big play/training area where we saw several of the dogs up for adoption playing and having fun. A spacious, clean and well maintained facility!

Great place to bring your pet. Staff is extremely friendly and the fact theyr open on a Sunday makes it so much easier for me to schedule an appointment.
Over all great place

We visited hoping to adopt a kitten. The adoption clinic is clean, the cats all look healthy and we were able to visit lots of them.

The reason this is only a 2 star is because, after we had fallen in love with a kitten, we were told the shelter had stopped testing for FIV & FeLV. They did not disclose this; we had to explicitly ask. The only explanation given was that they had "too many false positives" and had stopped the testing recently.

I let the staff know that we had another cat at home who was negative, and whom we didn't want to get sick. We asked if this testing could be done at our expense, and we were willing to forfeit the adoption fees if the test came back positive. We were told no.

I've never heard of a shelter that doesn't test for these lifelong, extremely contagious, incurable diseases. If you have other cats at home, be cautious of this shelter.

Well organized and well kept kernels for the dogs & cats. They have compassion for the animals there. I truly like them and all they do for the pets. Go adopt a rescue animal it is so worth it to them and to you.

I adopted my pug mix mutt from this shelter 3 years ago. He has been such a wonderful addition for me. When i adopted him he had a small case of kennel cough that antibiotics was able to clear up. He is my spoiled baby boy and i love him so much. I would definitely consider adopting from this shelter again when i’m ready for another addition. Easy process, workers seem to really care for there residents there, It was a great experience.

I adopted a puppy and the staff were very nice. When I took her to the animal vet to get some of her vaccinations (this wasn't the one at the shelter), they said the veterinarians did a good job on examining her. The only thing I was disappointed about was she came home flea infested. I know that it's not their responsibility but I think shelters should treat fleas on the animals before letting them go up for adoption. The other thing was they didn't tell me she had fleas knowing she did and so the puppy ended up giving my other two cats fleas. Overall it was a good experience and many tips were given. If you are adopting a puppy, expect to pay $375. Another thing is if your puppy hasn't gotten its vaccinations (most likely hasn't), you have to pay a couple more hundred dollars for it.

I called them last night because my dog got hit by a car. They were the nearest I can think of and that's where I adopted Twinkie from.

When I got to the parking lot, they were already waiting for me. Quickly assessed Twinkie. Since she is responsive and not bleeding, they referred me to Beacon Vet in Fremont.

I want to say thank you for the night staff that waited for me and Twinkie.

Amazing organization, they do so much good work. I look forward to retirement, when I will be able to volunteer here.

Good and clean place, polite staff. But you need to remind them about your appointments, a lot of wait time, and if you want to surrender your pet, you'll be on an neverending wait list.

There are so many cute animals here. They are all very sweet, but lonely sometimes. I would highly recommend people to go there and check out the animals.

This is the nicest Humane Society facility I have ever seen - this is far beyond the days of fenced cages and outdoor stays. This place is the Hilton of Humane Societies. I feel great supporting this type of home for unfortunate pets.

When our cat passed away, we took her body to the Human Society for cremation, and the staff there was so kind and compassionate. We truly appreciated it.

I live in the free spay and neuter zip code, but because I help rescue some dogs and cats, I'm punished and can't use the service for my own animals and when I tried to speak to the head vet she did not return my call. The facility is amazing and the staff does a good job but I'm very disappointed with my own experience
