I spent two months trying to troubleshoot a non-functioning sauna heater, and was laughed off the phone by company after company when I mentioned we live in Bolinas. I was able to narrow down the issue, ordered replacement parts, and luckily John Owens Services was able to book an appointment and take on the job. The technician, Chris, was fantastic, replacing the various parts (in a very tight and inhospitable spot!) with a smile on his face. Overall, the company is fairly priced, communicates extremely well by phone/text, and at the end of the day, delivers the goods.

John Owens is the best heating and plumbing contractor in the Bay Area. I've hired him personally and on behalf of my clients to solve problems and install HVAC. John's company is especially gifted with the ability to diagnose, repair and install radiant heating systems. John Owens Services is the only call to make when you need it done right every time.

John Owens' technician Brad came out to inspect my older gas furnace and provide feedback on its condition. Brad was professional, very helpful and patient in explaining the way the furnace operated and what to expect from it in the future. I would call on them again when I need additional service.

Very friendly and responsive. They unfortunately were not my first call, but ended up being the best call I made that day. They helped me the same day where others could not help for up to a week or more unless I was willing to pay for emergency service. Do yourself a big favor and call John Owens first.

Great service. Tim came out, efficiently evaluated the problem with our radiant heat and came back to repair the issue. After years of issues, Owens resolved the problem. Not cheap but we’ll worth every Penny.

My boiler went out on a Friday afternoon. John Owens had a tech there at 8 AM on Saturday. Not only did he analyze a complex problem correctly, fix my problem, and get me a hot shower by 10 AM, the price was very reasonable and Tim, the seasoned veteran, was a fine gentleman. I was totally impressed.

John Owens Services provided the lowest bid by far out of 3 to replace my furnace and did it in a very timely manner before the cold snap. I would recommend them based on that, which is most important. I deducted a star because the installers left cigarette butts and orange peels in my yard, trash in the basement (including a cigarette pack), and forgot to plug in my sump pump, so my basement flooded - easily fixed by plugging it back in, but still.

Was having difficulty with the heating situation for months. John sent out Temo Keilt. Temo, my heating super hero, was able to diagnose a multitude of problems related to the furnace and resolved many of the issues with competence, additionally providing recommendations that can improve the distribution of heat in the house and lower my heating bills. He was patient, pleasant and obviously an expert in his field.

Shoutout to Temo Keilt of John Owens services! Contacted them for a 2nd opinion when the first company said my radiant heat boiler needed replacement due to leaks. Temo looked over the boiler carefully and noticed the leaks were coming from a valve connected to a pipe near the boiler, not the boiler itself. Temo replaced the valve and thoroughly tested the system - all was good and I basically saved $8000!

John answered the phone on a weekend, and set up an appointment as soon as his technician was available. The tech was polite and knowledgeable. Really great experience!
