Kindred Hospital Ontario

My father is in the post covid unit at Kindred Ontario. I am so glad that Sabrina, the patient relationship nurse, was able to put together a program where family members are able to visit and spend some quality family time with their loved ones. Covid has been bringing a lot of stress to our family and being able to see my dad get better little by little with all the help of the post covid unit staff, has been a great help. Especially I want to give a big thanks to Dann the respiratory therapist, he is working so hard to try and help my dad's lungs get stronger to the point that he will not need a high flow of oxygen. Also, I want to thank Ruben the LVN for his patience and kindness with my dad. I want to thank Emilyn the RN for all her help when my dad starts yelling due to his confusion. She is always there asking my dad if he has pain or if he is cold, then her and Ruben will bring a blanket to try and make him feel comfortable. Finally, I want to thank Victor the LVN, Madona the RN, Santos the CNA, and all the post covid unit's staff including the respiratory therapists, physical therapists, and speech therapists.

This place has taken great care of one of our parents. We hear nothing but good things from her about her care and they loved our service dog Mya.

I would like to thank the staff for the delicious food that the dietary staff prepare and bring to my room daily. Also wanted to thank you all for making my Birthday special by bring me a Birthday cake to my room) l and connecting me to my family on zoom, which made my Birthday very special. Looking forward to going home very soon.

Thank you EVERYONE for my Covid Recovery during my stay. I am working really hard to go home. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to ALL!

I just want to share a bit of my story.kindred Hospital has been a blessing on taking care of our mother they Make me understand everything about what’s going on my mom situation and how they care for her 24 seven! There are all number #1 to me, the nurses & doctors, everybody on staff Sabrina and Michelle Brown they have been such a help I wish I could name all the nurses there, but there are so many of them all I can say is that whenever you call and ask to see how your love one is doing they’re always there to answer your questions no matter what! I even get to FaceTime my mother I mean I’ve never heard of any other hospital doing that! Which I’m sure there is hospitals that do that but this is the first hospital that I have ever gotten to FaceTime my mom! With that being said I pray every day that my mom will wake up from her coma, but I know she feels right at home I pray every day that my mom gets better and comes home to her family! But until then my mom has two homes Kindred Hospital in Ontario and our home. God bless them all for their hard work! Sabrina thank you very much for taking the time on helping me with my situation and getting it done you’re an angel! Stay safe everybody at Kindred Hospital with this hard time this pandemic that we are going through which we will all get through it together stay safe!

The staff had taken excellent care of me during my stay. They are loving and friendly along with being very helpful. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!?

I wouldn’t recommend this place for family or loved ones. My father was transferred here from arrowhead hospital and was doing OK at the hospital once transferred here he was kept asleep and died three days later. Besides that staff is very rude and seems to have no compassion for their patients are family. It seems that the nurses are only here for a paycheck and not to really care for patients

We have been in hospital for almost three weeks and have had the kindest staff and most competent doctors to take care of our us. Thank you ever so much Brenda, Steven, Kristine, Lydia, Pristin, Joey, Danni and Linnaeus, my therapists and all you kind people including Sabrina and her management staff who have been so attentive to every one of our needs. Thank you Ida, Manpreet and Lisa from ICU.
Norma.your food at the cafeteria has been exceptional. A special mention of Celso and Thomas.thank you for all the hard work you put in.
And those we have not mentioned.we appreciate everything you are doing for us.

My classmates and I did our clinical rotation at kindred fall/2019. We had an amazing experience with the staff and we learned way more than we anticipated (all good things of course). Whenever we had a question or concern the staff was available with an answer. We all felt comfortable and safe, which helped us learn more. Thank you kindred!

Very nice place to bring your loved one, great passionate team! My partners in greathands, I can rest when I go home.free coffee provided, great lunch if your hungry, overall awesome facility! First person who greeted me with a warm smile was Sabrina who's in charge, she's been great support, again everyone's great thank you all!

We love the nurses on unit 3. The Rn's, Lvn's, Cna's Rt's and wound care. Especially Shelley, Kim, Cynthia, Blanca, Elba, Chloe, Pressy, Paula, Judy, Jovey, Rosalinda, Rosa, Eva, Marlene, Stephen, Joy, Chantal, Big Mike also wound care and Evs. The wound care at Ontario is great in fact they are known for their wound care and Respiratory care. But the nurses are like family. Mom also had a short stay in the ICU. The nurses in ICU were attentive and caring. Not to mention Dr. G who is mom's primary doctor. She is amazing and straight forward about mom's care and health plan. They have a great security team Ann, Eddie and Paul. Really all the staff members we have dealt with are caring and present checking to see if we need anything. So in short thank you for all you have done and continue to do. Sabrina in patient relations is amazing she goes 100 % out of her way I mean the extra mile to make sure the patients and their families are well taken care of she's gorgeous she was mini mouse for Halloween it definitely brought my spirits up to see her dressed up for the occasion she's sweet caring even bought me a brush for my hair that was practically dreaded up in knots because I haven't had the strength to comb it Marlene my favorite nurses assistant went out of her way and helped me comb out my hair even used her own expensive bath n body works Shea butterp to help comb out my hair all the staff has been absolutely amazing can't remember everyone's name but everyone did a wonderful job
Madonna my beautiful nurse inside out gorgeous and they're all so pretty and extra caring Rafael and Denzel my favorite male nurses i call male nurses (murse's) :) very professional took care of me like I was their own family member I will definitely miss all the staff here and kindred the wound care team did an amazing job the dr's listen to your needs and work with you when it comes to individual care Dr Kim was great if I had to choose a place for medical care it would be kindred hands down if there's any people who are looking to donate or give grants to a healthcare facility for upgrades in new equipment and a newer heating system because it is an older building that would be amazing I do wish all facilities had individual thermostats to adjust the room temperature in each room because I'm always "the freezing one" I have blue hair so the nurses nicknamed me "Frozen" lol but not being able to turn up the heat to 78-90° is the only thing that is stopping from giving this place 10 stars:) the food is good the dietician Andrew is amazing educated eager and ready to help with nutritional needs and getting you to your most bestest self nutrition wise I can't rave about this place more if u must be hospitalized try and get into this place this is where u would want your family member to get quality healthcare as well as yourself sorry about the essay but I could keep going on for days about how great this place is including case management and social services they really do try to cover all your needs even after you leave. I haven't left yet so I will be following up with how well the discharge goes I have been unsafely discharged a few times by different healthcare facilities that didn't follow through with aftercare but I don't think it will be this way here nothing but good positive vibes.good medical care is getting harder to find with prices going up on everything but kindred in Ontario and kindred in Las Vegas both excellent places I highly recommend Kindred no cap #Foxx

Let me start by saying that when my wife first arrived at kindred her first week and a half the care she received was amazing but once she left unit 3 and went to unit 2 the care she is receiving has changed and it's not all the nurses but theres a couple that just have no compassion I live an hour away from the hospital and I can not be there as much as I would like to be so I put all my trust in the staff that my wife is being cared for and when I go see her and she tells me how she is being treated I asked to speak with the doctor and also nurse manager who is in charge of the nursing staff I waited for an hour and a half and did not see or her from either one and when I called and asked if they could have the doctor call me so I can get some type of answers I was told that I would be kinda difficult to get a hold of him and was told that when the doctor comes he's only there for a couple of minutes what can he possibly get done in a couple minutes again I thank the nurses who have been doing there job cause there is a few nurses who are amazing I hope that something changes
i will have to wait and see

I would like to thank Sabrina for her concern regarding this matter is greatly appreciated and I have not been able to go see for myself but my wife has let me know that things have been better and once my wife leaves kindred if things continue to be good I will definitely change my rating

Well I'm done with this hospital my wife has been there for almost 3 weeks and not once did I hear from the doctor and now she's being transferred today to Redlands at this point I don't think that anyone one should send there loved ones to Kindred they say they are all about compassion but they don't seem to care at all so thanks for everything I really hoped that I would have been able to give a good review but I'm done if I could they would not even get 1 and at this point there is nothing left they can do to change my mind

My name is Bernie Ewell. I am a Chaplain and have been regularly called to minister to patients at Kindred Ontario and occasionally I have the privilege of praying with and for the staff. I have served this hospital for many years and have the honor of developing working relationships with many of the staff. These relationships had been strengthened thru time and respect. I have had the honor also of having my father in this very facility 3 1/2 yrs ago be taken care of for about 5 months until his passing. The staff are always loving, kind and available to care for needs of the patients and their families. Hospitals can be a very hectic place to be, that being said.the staff all do their best to make everyone feel at peace within themselves and that their loved ones are being taken care of. The staff try to make sure a minister is called when the patient or family member/friend/s request it. The needs are carefully considered with a total healing and wellness approach. I highly recommend Kindred Ontario to anyone whose loved on has needs beyond your capability.
