Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot, San Diego reviews
36Regular meatballs (more bouncy) are better than the house ones (more soft). Soup base wasn't really flavorful. Pork blood wasn't good. Everything else was decent.
First time there very impressed the food was good The peach tea was delicious had a beautiful time
Great times eating soup on this cold day! Didn't know this place was opened until we stumbled upon it. A little pricey, but it was a fun time boiling up our own soup with our family at a restaurant instead of at home!
Food was really good for what is was worth. Gave you lots of ingredients and all assortments of Side dishes. Drinks were also very good. But I only rate this place 3 stars because they did our orders wrong giving us the wrong ingredients we wanted and also missing ingredients we ordered. They also over priced us on drinks, or their menu is needing an update. Expect to spend a lot!
I discovered this place by accident and I was pleasantly surprised by the menu and the amazing soup we made right at our table!
Plenty of food for 3 people.
The food is awesome but the service sucks just because we are white but everyone else who is not is getting there food right away while we spent almost 2 hours trying to get our order going while they help everyone else not fair at all.
Super expensive. Good tasting soup. Acceptable service. Quite steep in value considering the price includes the novelty of cooking and waiting for your food. Bad lamb skewer.
Well let's start off. 12-23 was the date of our visit. Just 2 of us. We were sat at the bar just fine and proceeded to look over the menu. After ready the yelp reviews and comments about a lunch special (reason we came) prices and items where shown in the menu. The waiter said they will not honor the lunch special. So our lunch just went from $12 to $22. Now how to order is tricky and needed help. After getting some help on how you order as there are many options sizes and combinations we placed out order by flagging down the wait staff. The broth came out, picked 2 kinds House broth is very bland and the spicy on the second. The second was not spicy at all but it had more flavor. The vegies came out first and 20 min latter we are asking where the meat is. One order of meat came out for one order and expecting the other order to follow. This is not happen had to ask again for the rest of our order 10 min later. So 30 min into the meal I finally received everything that was orders. We only received one refill on our ice tea and that was after asking twice and was finally refilled after our meal was done and bill was given. NEVER again will I go here. The food is not great for the price and the wait staff is non helpful or attentive to the customer. Also not honoring the prices in the menu is just wrong.
All the food here is served raw so you can cook it at your table in a choice of mild, spicy and mixed broths made with a dozen spices. Lots of thin-sliced meat and vegetable options, as well as tofu. Lunch is about $10! Bring a friend or three. I took my grandfather and watched him flirt with the servers. Good times.
Food was great but the service was terrible. We believe we were discriminated since we did not speak mandarin. Everyone else that came after us got serviced before my party and we had a reservation. Our reservation was at 4: 30pm and we didnt get helped until almost 6pm. One friend with us didn't eat anything but got charged like he did eat which was unfair.
***Beware*** Please do not eat here. 12/14/2019 @ 7: 09pm I found a roach in my hot pot. I will be reporting this to the health department. The staff simply said "sorry about that" (matter of factly) turned off the hot pot and began taking the food away. They tried to keep everything hush hush which was so disappointing as the restaurant had other customers who could have also been eating roaches in their soup. ***Beware***
The food is good here. They have a lot of items on the menu to choose from. The service is really good and fast. The staff was friendly.
Fun place for groups, reasonably priced, nice atmosphere, healthy cuisine. Might benefit from a little more “warmth” at the door, but other waitstaff was helpful and efficient.
Great food. Good price. Definitely need to work to get the waiter or waitress attention but not atypical of an Asian restaurant.
The food is amazing but I would always caution bring a friend that knows what to order for you first also order less than you think you can eat otherwise you will regret it.
It was a good food experience our first time having Mongolian food the place was crowded but we got right in everything was fresh
My experience at this Little Sheep location is far better than any other location I've been to in the Bay Area.
The workers here are nice and treat you as if you're their friend!
They have a lunch special which is filling and affordable ($11.95 without tax). The quality of their ingredients is great as well.
I wouldn't recommend to get the spicy flavor as it can overpower the flavor of the vegetables and meat with its spiciness.
Best hotpot place I've ever been. Huge selection. A little on the pricey side but 100% worth it for the quality.
Do many options to order from. We did half regular broth, half spicy. We filled it with veggies and all sorts of beef and pork. A delicious Thursday meal and well worth the price!
Good hot pot, they bring the fresh ingredients to your table, and you cook them in the hot broth. Many choices of ingredients. A must try.
