Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot, San Diego reviews
36 Hot Pot was so delicious.
Loved the variety of food and the soup was delicious.
We had a good time and the service was great.
Fun, new experience for us. Food was fresh and delicious. The servers were friendly and responsive. Our only disappointment was that we wish the server would have been a little more proactive in helping familiarize us with this style of food preparation. We plan on going back.
The food is not good at all. 2 stars for service and my American friends had fun. But it's not even close to a decent Mongolian hotpot place.
The broth is overwhelmed by artificial seasonings. Spicy soup isn't spicy at all. Just normal broth with some poor chili pepper floating on them. And they used the same refill for both soups.
Really not worth it if you're going for decent hotpot.
Also if you're vegetarian, they serve veggie and seafood/blood rice cake etc on the same plate.
Soup is good but has a ton of MSG. The house noodles are good.
Everytime I go there I am shocked by the outrageous prices. Seriously, it's just a bowl of soup.
If you want to spend over a hundred for a family of 4 for soup go here.
Loved the (medium) spicy soup. -left-
Variety of sides and items to put inside, great taste, clean restaurant, reasonable prices.
The food was definitely delicious. Very interesting spices in the broth. The service could have been more attentive. Also, watch out for allergies. My friend vomited her whole meal because of an allergic reaction to something in the broth. So please review the ingredients first and ensure you are not allergic!
-1 stars because their sesame sauce tastes weirdly peanut butter-ish and to me the dipping sauce is pretty important.that being said, everything else was really good and the prices are great.i recommend getting the spicy soup because all the food comes out with more flavor and the food doesn't actually get that spicy.way more value than the various "shabu shabu" places that charge you $50 for a pittance of meat and some veggies.
The best Chinese hot pot restaurant in town! Great service, good quality fresh meats and vegetables, and a great variety of items to choose ftom. Both the mild and spicy broths are delicious and they provide a good selection of condiments to create your own dipping sauce in addition to the three dips that come with the meal. The atmosphere is pleasant and family friendly. Highly recommend!
Authentic & Delish! I had to buy an actual hot pot after tasting this, definitely love Little Sheep. Quick service, accommodates large groups or just roll up to the bar.yum!
A friend introduced me to this place. I like the fact that you cook your own food in the pot in front of you. Lots if choices of meats, fish and veggies. The price was reasonable as well.we both left very full!
Great deal for lunch Monday- Friday 11-3pm. $12 for a set lunch. Much better price than if you come during regular hours.
I went to Little Sheep in the DMV area and was surprised the broth varied greatly in flavour, it is not if the the same caliber.
Loved that place! Brand new experience cooking our own soups with all the wonderful ingredients ready to go. Kind staff as well. Would go back again, especially when it's cold.
This is one of my favorite restaurants to eat at. I definitely recommend going during their lunch happy hour special otherwise you'll end up spending $30 to $50 per person. They make some really incredible hot pot. Ask for the Ying Yang if you like a little bit of spicy and they also have vegetarian broth. Absolutely a must-visit place
One of our all-time favorites here in town. Top 5 restaurants in San Diego in our opinion. The broth alone is worth the trip. Reasonably priced fresh food and you get to cook it yourself.
Meh. I have tried a lot of hotpot places and this is by far the worst. The meal made me feel sick for some time afterwards.
