L&L Hawaiian Barbecue, Long Beach CA

Just a quick heads up. For those traveling. Looks like this franchise just carries the name but not any items from the rest of the hundreds of l&l hawaiian locations.they do their own thing? Was just told.

Best spam masubi's out there. And the customer service at the 7th Street location is OUTSTANDING! Friendly, fast and fabulous.

Normally i would like/L&L but this time, at least at this location it was a bit subpar compared to my usual L&L place. Customer service was quick and easy. The interactions was friendly and very helpful. However the chicken katsu was.different. The chicken katsu had this strong metallic taste to it which didn't sit well with me. Other than that, the place is wonderful.

Very filling and inexpensive meal, yet flavorful and freshly prepared. The chicken katsu in particular was phenomenally made.

My only complaint was a slight mistake in the order - I got a haupia (rice pudding dessert) instead of the manapua (pork buns side/appetizer) - though this resulted in an opportunity to try an excellent dessert.

The haupia is a plainly flavored rice pudding / jello with hints of cinnamon served with delectable pineapple chunks that compliment it perfectly.

I have been coming here since I was a sophomore at CSULB down the street, so over 14 years now. The food is great and the prices are matched with the large portions you receive. Their sauces are flavorful and veggies are fresh. I live much closer to a location in Cerritos but make the drive for this location in particular because the menu has some unique and delicious options. Love the spicy orange chicken. The food is cooked to order so you may have to wait a few minutes but it is worth it to have freshly made entrees.

I use to go here a lot until recently I got served a microwaved looking chicken it was nothing like the chicken I got before it didn't even look grilled it was discusting and I threw it away idk if they got a new chef recently but they fell off and I'm upset about my meal

I sent my friends to this restaurant with my warmest recommendations. I visit this restaurant often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The the food there is great and the crew is welcoming and cooperative.always when we visit this place we pass a delightful time. I recommend this place with pleasure.

Like the food was okay. I had the chicken katsu and after a while it was just deep fried chicken. Regular white cooked rice, was just rice nothing special.

Amazing environment and very amiable service. The meals were fresh and enchanting. Will absolutely recommend this restaurant to friends. Affordable prices and generous portions. Keep it up.

The food and service were above our expectations. I really loved the ambience of this place. Nice restaurant to take my family out for dinner.

The customer service wasn't very pleasant especially when asking for items. The food wasn't what I expected for a 14 dollar charge. Portions size was average mac N cheese needed more flavor. The best thing on the menu was the ribs.

If your looking for a healthy and delicious meal that doesn't cost very much then definitely try out their chicken veggie bowls! Every time I see a L&L I have to stop and eat! Their teriyaki sauce is really good and the veggies have this fresh perfectly cooked taste that I love!

Sorry but I've had way better. Their menu is different from other L&L BBQ's and the food wasn't well made at all. I'm disappointed because I expected better, especially for the price I paid. Poorly made food period.

Musubi selection is wide and the katsu chkn, togora (?) Sweet egg and Portuguese saysage w pineapple were all very good.

This place is good, but I don't like the change in management that occurred. For whatever reason they give out smaller portion sizes than they used to a couple months prior. They even go so far as to add filler by way of cabbage underneath your protein. Despite that this place is a tasty place to eat. Give it a visit.

Ordered a chicken katsu and a spam musubi. Lord have mercy its sooo good. These guys really hooked me up! Will be coming back for more. First time there and they definitely wow’d me.

Came here with a friend for lunch. It was super busy and there was almost no seating left. Got the chicken katsu and I didn't think they gave us a lot of food, but it made me really full. Overall, it was a nice meal and I wouldn't mind coming back every once in a while.

I consider myself an l&l connoisseur. This is by far the worst l&l i have been too. First their prices are 2 to 3 dollars higher than other locations. Secondly, their portions sizes are smaller. Lastly, they use inferior quality meats to others. Very dissapointed by the owners of this franchise.

Good fast food, I've enjoyed everything we've tried from here and the large portions really help with that.
