L&L Hawaiian Barbecue, Long Beach CA

My first time at this L&L's and I'd have to say I'm a fan! While it's not that much better in size or atmosphere than their Willow and LB Blvd location, I thought their portion sizes were a little bigger. I got the usual katsu curry mini plate and a spam musubi-everything tasted just the way I was expecting! If you like L&L or Hawaiian BBQ in general, this is a good location.

I took the most beautiful woman in the world there for lunch recently and we both thought the macaroni salad was quite good.

My go to place. Front staff is always pleasant and friendly. Other than beef bbq (very tough) everything here is good specially short rib, bbq chix and the shredded pork.

I'm entirely addicted to their chicken katsu curry. Pretty cheap, too, for the amount of food you get.

Great first time experience. The spicy garlic shrimp was good but I was full just eating the brown rice and salad. The cabbage slaw the shrimp rested on was amazing. I'll be bringing my daughter when she visits.

Best Hawaiian fast food joint in my book. And I've been to quite a few in SoCal and the Bay Area. They have the typical dishes and things you don't usually see at a place like this (e.g. Garlic shrimp, garlic chicken, and wonton soup). They also allow lots of substitutions with no extra charge (cooked cabbage, extra Mac, brown rice, green salad, french fries, etc).

Didn't prepare lunch last night so I had to eat out today fortunately L&L was right across the street from the Long Beach VA and boy I'll tell you their chicken katsu was amazing I've never had chicken breast katsu it's usually guide me and it was plenty of food for two with one order five stars it is

Big portions for how much you pay and the food is awesome! The loco moco is my favorite, but it's all good!

Not open on Sundays but their message says they are on the phone. Total waste. Fix your machine.

I'm going to make this review reflective of my last visit.

Service is fast, staff is friendly, seating is adequate, but wow there is A LOT of fat of their beef.

I ordered a piece of spam masubi and a beef rice bowl and I actually had to discard more than 3/4s of the beef because I just couldn't chew it.

I ended eating rice covered in seaweed and a vegetable bowl.
