30It's very cozy.the people are warm. The food. I wouldn't judge tue place off one dish but the fish was good not fantastic or anything memorable.
Home cooked food is great nice comfy place even though its crowded its the best and cheapest place to eat
By far one of the best casual / Comfort restaurant and bars anywhere. EVER. This place is an institution in east Antioch, California. All dinners come with salad soup and hot bread. And the simple old fashioned bar serves some of the strongest, and most reasonable drinks you will find anywhere. Be prepared to come here early, grab some drinks and wait a while in line. Because this place is worth it.

Hostess sat on her butt. Waitress’s couldn’t decide who was going to take our table so they both ignored us. We got our own drinks at the bar. Got here at 1: 22.got food at 2: 15. Worst service to date, and I like the place.
Our 4th visit. We live about 45 miles away. It os nice nor to have corporate atmosphere everywhere. Small menu keeps prices good.
The homemade soup ans bread is yummy.
The wait on porch can be a while if you get there after opening. I wish they would comply with health code and post No Smoking outsode. Code is 20 feet from doors and windows.
I love Mac's, awesome soup, salad and warm fresh bread with every meal. You can't beat the bar prices either, a triple call whiskey rocks for $6. Guaranteed not to leave hungry!
Great place great price. Food was good, drink deals, etc. Super crowded so get their early and make she's your entire party is there before you put your name in. They will not seat you until your entire party is present.
We love Mac's Old House been going their for over 25 years. Moved to Reno, Nevada 18 years ago. I will drive 4-5 hours just for the MINESTRONE soup it's the best I've ever had along with the bread BEST MEAL any one could ask for. See you again on the 20th. Highly recommend it. You wont be sorry.
