I believe there was some good employee here that helped me out with the purchase process. However, when I come to pickup the car, I found that my car doesn't have floor mats and request them to add it to my car. What kind of new car doesn't come with floor matts nowaday? The general sale manager told me I can walk away without it or we have no deal. He said he can sell it to someone else with a higher price and don't care if I want it or not. Well, I was asked to come to check out the car and they did whatever it take for me to sign the contract. After 3 months of going through the paperwork, that's unbelievable that how they treat the customer. I don't might if they can say that to me from day 1 so I can walk away with this kind of dealership. They agressively want you to sign the deal then after that treat you like trash. Please consider before you come here.

There all the great words to express with how I feel when it comes down to Marina Del Rey Toyota. I recently bought my 3rd vehicle due to the experience that I've always had with Marina Del Rey. My first experience was with the service department and a very great employee who has always taken care of me and my daughter from the first time that I have entered Marina Del Rey Toyota, David. I bought a car at CARMAX prior and realize that Marina Del Rey honored the CARMAX warranty and the car needed a new transmission. David took care of everything. My car still had some issues with other things not knowing the pre-owned concerns and decided that I did not want to go with a pre-owned vehicle anymore. I started walking the lot of Marina Del Rey Toyota and met a great salesman Alonzo. Alonso took the time to hear what I wanted, what I was looking for and took me right to the vehicle that was such a blessing to me, a 2019 RAV 4 brand new. I was so impressed with my maintenance service with David again after the sell of the vehicle that I brought my daughter in to buy a brand-new CHR 2020 with Alonzo as well. David stayed on the check points for our service maintenance and always cared about the outcome of the visit. I went last Saturday to do a maintenance for the 20,000 and express to one of the service reps Alex, David was on vacation, who was great as well that I was having a granddaughter and was looking for more room. I was thinking about the Highlander but was just wanting to check it out to see later if this was the car for me. Alex suggested while I was sitting waiting for service to maybe look at the Highlander. I immediately asked for Alonzo. Alonzo came out and heard my need and walked me in the direction of my new vehicle. I drove it and was impressed. Alonzo's suggested to see what it would be like to get in this vehicle. With the the blessing of God and finance support team, I walked out with a brand new 2021 Toyota Highlander with great payments, great interest rate and still the same staff that I enjoy working with. The salesman Alonzo and service service contact, David I am now looking to upgrade for my daughter. This would only be with Marina Del Rey based off of the experience and being treated as a VIP customer from the car sales part and the service part. Thank you Maria Del Rey for all you do and I thank God for that CarMax vehicle needing service issues to meet the best salesman, Alonso, service contact, David and the team of Marina Del Rey Toyota.

Poor choices of cars. They don't even know which cars they have at this location. Scheduled a test drive and reached their location only to find out they never had that car. Not at all a pleasant experience.

I just picked up my new Rav4 in Lunar Rock. This is a very popular color and difficult to get, but Melissa went out of her way to find it for me. This is the second car I've purchased from them, and they always provide great customer service.

This place is a scam and most of the sales people are sneaky, unprofessional and not trustworthy. Please do yourself a favor and go to the surrounding Toyota. The people seem friendly but their actions definitely have other motives to take advantage of the customer. Alex was really great, he was probably the only honest person that helped me. Every other person who helped me was either deceitful or tactfully approached me while worrying about the bottom line. This will be the absolute last time I visit this Toyota. There were several practices that were extremely skeptical. First, I was promised a walk out price and was told the gap insurance would be covered, that didn't happened. I was lied to by the financial manager who "forgot" about my vehicle being pre-owned verified. I was practically harrassed about getting the extended warranty, after clearly stating I didn't want it. Same with the security features add on, which I also denied but was repeatedly asked about, by the financial manager. Furthermore, a weird practice is that when customers are given a quote the extended warranty is included which overinflates the price and offers false assurance to the customer that the price is actually cheaper once they talk with the financial person. If you are a first time customer ASK IF YOUR INITIAL ESTIMATE includes extended warranty and ask to remove it.

I was lied about my credit score or only told my lowest one without being accurately told about the other two which were higher. After standing up for myself, the attitude of the financial manager completely changed. I intend to disclose all my experiences and also make it clear to all new customers about these practices. I am infuriated that my walk out price was not what we agreed on.

Brought my wifes car in for a $305.00 service on Monday. Service writer was Dale.
We got the service, took a while and our car was damaged when went to drive off. We immediately reported the damage to our service writer who took photos and said that they would review and get back to us asap about it.
Never heard back.

Sales department is the worst

So.we got pre approved through our bank for a loan to buy a car. My girlfriend really wanted another Prius (Im a jeep dude, I dont car about gas mileage, I want a car that can go where no man has gone before!).

Marina Del Rey Toyota is within walking distance from my house. 6 or 7 blocks, probably takes me less than five minutes to drive there and Im all about staying within a three mile radius.

My GF really wants this Prius that they have on their website so I call, ask for the sales department. They put me through but it just rings and rings. I call back and explain, they put me through to someones voicemail, I leave a message.

I call the next day. "Hi I want to buy one of your cars on your website, i called the other day but no one called me back" Woman says "Ok" not, Im sorry let me find someone or anything like that. Puts me through to sales, just rings and rings. I call back again, same thing, just rings and rings.

4 or five days later, (due to my gf bugging me) I call back again. I get through to someone this time after explaining that I have been trying to get a hold of someone for a while and that I have called several times now Im told:

"Sorry your the sales person is busy can you try calling back"

"NO" Im not calling you back, I shouldnt have to work so hard to spend my money at your dealership. Ive called several times last week and left a message.

I then drove to Toyota of Culver City ready to buy a car and had another terrible experience.

We ended up going to the Marina dealership anyways, we ended up with a very young sales person who was nice but new NOTHING about the cars he was selling and seemed inexperienced (which is fine). I made him an offer on a car that was maybe 1000 less than sticker, he said he couldnt due it. Ironically the price was dropped thousands less as of today about a month after we purchased a new Prius at the Santa Monica location.

The next day after we were at the MDR location I bought a brand new Prius at Toyota of Santa Monica, within about 20 minutes of stepping onto the lot we were in the office signing the deal and it was easy peasy.

We are actually going to buy ANOTHER Toyota here in the next week or two and Toyota of Santa Monica is getting our business again.

I know this wont change anything at the Marina and Culver City Location but this is another example of how poor customer service can effect a business. Because of the poor customer service we took our business elsewhere and purchased the car at another business, we are purchasing a second car in the next week or two so MDR and CC lost out on two car sales within about a month of each other.

Good Customer service.
However, the service dept recommended unecessary service such as coolant and filters for $500.
Went to Hybrid Fix, he showed me the fluids were full and clean, and showed me what the filters should look like.
Replaced filter for less than 5 mins, and charged me $19.17.
I understand dealerships have higher expenses, but what they quoted me was bamboozling.
I strongly recommend getting another opinion before paying a penny for service.
Hybrid Fix may not have the amenities that dealerships do, but they saved me $480!

So, No, MDR Toyota Dealership, you don't get good reviews for trying to rip people off. You don't even have the integrity to pop up the hood and show what you're recommending.
Nope, now way. If a car can get married, it's would be to the Hyrid Fix on Western Ave!

I have been servicing my car at this dealership since 2014. We later bought my dads truck and started servicing his truck as well as other relative vehicles. As my service advisor for my vehicles, Alex, he is your go to guy. He is always taking his time with his customers customers and explaining well what has to get done. He is a nice, friendly, very professional and easy to talk to guy. Alex is definitely an essential part of this location. I have been to other service locations for our other cars, and none of them reflect the knowledge, and true definition of customer service like Alex does. He is definitely your guy for any of your car needs.

Special thanks to MDR Toyota for keeping this great asset, and thank you once again Alex.

I went there for smog check. My Prius successfully passed it and when my car was back it was washed cleanly as their service. They always do the washing gift every time I bring my car. I love it. I always feel good on the way home.

My experience is for service and not sales: through Toyota Care, I made an appointment at 7am online to get my 5000 mile service, i arrived around 7am where there were already 2-3 cars awaiting service. Alex, the rep, took my car and told me he would call me in an hour or so. Service was done in an hour. My experience is that the service staff are all polite, helpful and courteous. The only CON is that parking is limited at the dealership.

I took my car in for it's 6 month maintenance. I was prepared to stay there for an hour and a half and it took only an hour for the work to be completed. And they even washed my car! All around a great experience.
