Monterey Bay Kayaks - Elkhorn Slough reviews
26Amazing experience. Must do for anyone living in or visiting the bay. The Elkhorn slough is a beautiful destination filled with wildlife and there is no better way to see it than from the seat of a kayak. Kayak staff is friendly and eager to help get you set up.
Great kayaking experience, close up with sea otters, sea lions, seals, pelicans and all kinds of shore birds. Winds stiff in afternoon and if paddling against tide it is strenuous, but totally amazing.
Wonderful quiet waters. We will go out every once and a while to go kayaking but mostly this is my favorite place to walk when it’s late evening. ;)
I've been kayaking in the Elkhorn Slough location three times and seen many otters, seals, pelicans, and other birds each time. It's amazing to see so much wildlife after paddling away from the highway for just a few minutes. It can be chilly, so it's very convenient that wetsuits and jackets are provided.
Information presented is complete. Friendly staff especially Sierra. Got us in the water with no fuss. Good location.
Equipment was all in good working order. Process for getting in the water was well-organized. Cost was incredibly reasonable. The icing on the cake was the location. We saw more wildlife in three hours then we did during the remaining four days of our trip. Otters and seals were abundant. Lots of birds too. Appreciate that all the necessary equipment, including wetsuits and wind breakers, was included in the cost of the rental. We flew in from out of state.
