The community is quiet, clean, and safe. The service in which the community provides is extremely awful. Few employees work at the Cadenza leasing office are unprofessional and hostile. I received a phone call from a lady at the leasing office asking me whether I would like to continue the lease before the 30 days deadline, I replied no. Like many other reasonable people, I assumed the purpose of this phone call is to inform them 30 days ahead if I plan to move out or not. She did not even bother to mention that a written notice is needed. Therefore, I did not submit a written notice. A week later, I got another phone call form the leasing office telling me that I did not inform the office whether I want to continue my lease or not. Eventually, I ended up paying $940 extra for renting the apartment one more week for late notice. Then, what was the whole point of the first phone call? To confuse me so I can pay extra rent? My roommate and I went to the Cadenza office to talk to them. Two ladies were working at the office that day. The lady we talked to in the front desk did not wear any make up. I later realized that can be a sign showing she was having a bad mood that day. Another lady worked in her office; we exchanged few words. Overall, their attitudes were so bad to the point my roommate and I felt they are racist. I had never felt something like that since my family and I immigrated to United States nine years ago. My roommate and I were very aware of our behaviors and the way we talk, and we still could not understand the hostility. We said "Thank you" before we walked out, and the ladies who talked to us: one in the front desk and another in the office next to entrance; they did not bother to give any response. Then, we found out they don't record their phone calls as they said they would, so there is no way I could provide evidence to show the first phone call was the reason I did not submit the written notice. Also, a guy name Diego told me to not make any trouble on the day my roommate and I moved in. My point is: you do not have to live in Murano while there are other communities in Irvine with friendly staffs.
