Nice clean and well lit store. This was my first visit to a Nike store. Friendly staff, I was greeted when I entered the building. Prices are more affordable than I thought they would be

I wish I knew about this place sooner. So inexpensive.l stop throwing your money away on target shoes! These will last for waaaaay longer and won't break the bank.

Store Carrys mostly shoes that are not popular
. Pretty much a return center for online. Customer experience was bad also, purchased items online and was refused a exchange for items that were new. I had a receipt and was within return exchange window. Nike this is your last check from me.

While I enjoyed the shopping experience at the Nike Outlet store in Torrance, I was heartily dismayed by the handling of a situation I had at my time of purchase. I am grateful for the additional discount Nike offers to Veterans. As a single father this means a lot when purchasing shoes for my children and I. Prior to my purchase I found a great deal on some blue and white Nike 270s. I carried the shoes with me around the store to do some more shopping. As I put the shoes down next to me a Latino male in his 40s walked by and picked up my shoe and started to walk away. I immediately told him I put the shoes down to to look at another item, he said not one word to apologize but put the shoes down about 20 feet away where he was stopped.

This interaction seem weird so I made a mental note of it. While I had a great deal on the Nike 270s, I did wish the Nike outlet had a slightly larger shoe as I had a size 11 which fit a little too snug so an 11.5 would have been ideal. As I asked about the larger size with the staff I was informed there were no larger sizes. I head to the register to pay and as I approached I noticed at least 20 pairs of 270s sitting behind the register specifically a size 11.5. I asked about the 11.5 after I purchased my pair and was informed by all three employees working at the register that one of their "bulk buyers" had them there and was about to purchase them. I found that to be a little weird so I asked if I could trade my 11 in for the 11.5 sitting in what would be the pre-purchased pile. I was immediately told by the cashiers that they wouldn't trade my pair out because the unpurchased 270s were already the property of the "bulk buyer". I asked once again if they could make the trade as the 270s that were being held were not purchased yet and were still considered the property of the "bulk buyer" as possession is 9/10 of the law.

I was blown away by this as I thought the purpose of an outlet was give every customer equal buying and not give preferential treatment to anyone. As the the three staff stated the point about possession and the law, I became entirely disheartened by this Nike policy to let "bulk buyers" have the upper hand over the everyday consumer. I was informed by a Nike employee that these "bulk buyers" tend to work for swap meets and resell the shoes at double the cost. What made it even more disheartening was the attitude of the Nike employees to side with the bulk buyer on the merits of possession laws. I would love for a manager to contact me so we can have a discussion about this issue. I will definitely tell people to avoid this Nike outlet store in Torrance as these practices seem to be just as bad as a pay to play scheme. Until this system is changed I may never step foot in another Nike store or purchase another Nike product again.
