I was happy for the experience that happend to me. Staff person who gave me the car was pretty cool and happy, well mannered and gave me the good car with low miles on it.

The worst car service ever, we reserved for 72 hours and they made us submit the car within 60 hours because of operational concerns and we had to change the schedule of the trip to return the car, no flexibility and worst customer service. Especially the lady the the car rental desk it the worst.

Reserved the car in advance in fact weeks in advance, when I got to the counter they had no cars - stated to me they would put me on a waiting list three plus hours abd maybe a car would show - give me a break Payless!
Went to Fox. No problem.

Like the other reviews the girl at the counter was extremely untrained in customer service and they flat out lie on pricing and procedure over charged me by $800 when I returned the car and said I would have to wait 3-5 days to get it resolved. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY PLENTY OF OTHER PLACES TO GO! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED EXTREMELY BAD BUSINESS STAY AWAY!

Horrendous. I experienced the absolute worst customer service at the SJC airport with Payless car rentals. Horrible service. The employee who was “helping” us was in a hurry to get off of work. We were notified as we walked up that they don’t take debit cards or cash. This needs to be explicitly and clearly noted to customers, especially when coming from out of state with no credit card. He left us stranded as he took off from work. Luckily, Fox rental car was there to save the day.

I would have rated 0 if that is an option. Their customer service does nothing but passing the ball between location center and headquarter.

I have rented from them twice this year. One time I had accidentally made the reservation for the wrong date and the gentleman at the counter worked with me to find a car at a price that was actually cheaper than what I was expecting. He could have chosen to increase the charge as I was a week early for my reservation to the same day price but he was very kind I appreciate it!

Horrible customer service. I reserved a car, they said they couldn’t take my card. Tried another card, that didn’t work either. I know both cards had funds on them. Then they told me that my reservation was cancelled because the cards didn’t work. No help from the representative whatsoever.
