32I VISITED THINKING I CAN AFFORD A SUSPENSION SERVICE IN THIS PLACE AND APPARENTLY I STILL CAN'T AFFORD IT TOO EXPENSIVE, Example 1,000.00 for terminals job on 1999 Chevrolet tahoe,, jesus this place EXPENSIVE.
Absolutely horrible customer service. I would not recommend this pep boys in Redondo Beach. I was promised an hour wait and purchased 4 new tires. I walked out after 2.5 hours. It turns out they broke a sensor when replacing one of the tires. I understand things happen but noone told me until I wanted to know why it was taking so long. There were technicians standing around doing nothing. In addition, the area service director's name and number were on a sign encouraging people to call. When I called the number to complain it was the main number and the person who answered the phone was obviously reading a script as he kept saying the same thing and wasn't listening to me. His name is Carlos. He would not transfer me to Phil who is the area service director. I finally gave up. I had hoped to talk to a manager and not post this, but your company gave me no choice. I never received an apology from anyone. The pep boys staff needs to learn customer service. I won't be returning.
Went in for a simple tire patch which should take 20-30 minutes tops. I understand there may have been a few people ahead of me but the 1-1.5 hour long wait seemed excessive still. I saw 3 people arrive after me and have their services completed before my car was even off the lift which it was on for about an hour before they actually started working on it. Ultimately it took close to 3 hours for them to finish. I was told it too so long because the “new guy” was working on it but even so there’s absolutely no reason it should take that long. Not at all how I wanted to spend my Sunday afternoon. Going elsewhere from now on.
Came in for an oil change and tire rotation as usual - but got home and noticed they didn’t rotate my tires.

Beware of these guys not actually doing their job.

We had an appointment for a quick 15 minute inspection and then they said they couldn’t do it until tomorrow. They are rude! Horrible customer service
Diagnosed mycar Im 1 hour, acwasmot working, due to an electrical issue, they could not fix it.
It use to be be a bigger store and there selection in parts and accessories is not as good anymore.
Tony went out of his way to replace our car battery in less than 15 minutes so my pregnant wife would not have to wait. Amazing service!
I needed a new car battery. They didn't have a big selection, but the employee helped make sure it fit. Staff was friendly.
It was terrific I could not ask for better recommended people who wanted hard to get parts. I've been shopping there for I also need to know if there's a tire with a tire, not a run-flat? It's used on RVs is it one for cars?
It took them 5 min to check my battery and sell me a new one.it took over 2 hours to install it. This place is empty. I don't understand. Never coming back here again. This isn't the first time I've been unhappy with this place.the service is terrible and the selection is poor.
Purchased a battery 2yrs ago with 3yrs warranty, it died today, went to this store and they replaced it with a new one free of charge. They tested the old battery and realized it was bad in 10min. Great experience.
The staff is not very knowledgeable and enough trained to help customer to find the parts they need.

Took the service department 5 tries to figure out that the reason my check engine light would keep coming on was because the o2 sensor they put in on the first trip in was faulty and they didn't even figure it out! They just gave us our money back and told us that this was beyond their scope to diagnose and sent us to the dealer.
Great service and selection, this store is well stocked. I received excellent service when trying to make a decision on a particular product. Lots of parking too, and a great location right on Artesia Blvd.
Average service. Good selection of car parts. Doesnt have much in the way of hardware if you have an unusual mechanical problem.
This store has nice layout, comfortable to walk around. Friendly and helpful employees make a big difference. Ben the manager has helped me out several times wih car problems. This review is regarding shopping inside the store. Getting mechanical work done on your car is a different story which I know nothing about. PepBoys is my first choice for buying auto parts.
Excellent service, needed fix a flat. They not only sold it, they installed it in our under inflated tire.
