Phil's Fish Market & Eatery reviews
33We arrived here at a great time. Parking was very limited as we parked about a block away and walked over. There were about 3 groups in front of us, but we were all helped pretty quickly. You order food like you would at a fast food joint. There's a lady tending the drinks, who fills up your cup for you with your choice of sodas. There is a bar as well in the next room. The prices were really fair for a seafood joint like this. We found seating and a table outside without much searching. Our food was brought to us within 10 mins, which was great! We had the fried oysters, crab cakes, seafood quesadilla, Dungeness crabmeat roll (special for the week), and clam chowder. Food was amazing! Will definitely be back the next time I'm visiting the area!
Super great restaurant with fresher than fresh fish. Had fish tacos and fries and it did not disappoint. Food was in large portions and delicious
Great place to get fish and chips and about a million other things. Very well deserved popularity, the long lines tell you all you need to know.
Wonderful food, Covid conscious, terrible parking. If you've not tried this place make sure you do. I once talked to the owner, nice man. My wife and I have been eating there for 30+ years. Call ahead and order chippino to go, bring a container.
Always a pleasure to visit Phil's! The very freshest seafood, and killer desserts, a family tradition! A must
Bad customer service. I waited for my food for an hour, and my food was cold. And was just sitting there. And they were rude with my friends, and myself.
This place is a rule followers were dream. There’s an abundance of big, red lettered, condescending signs informing you of things you’re not allowed to do. There’s also a self righteous lady running around gleefully scolding people who aren’t following the rules. 5 stars for the food, one star for the weird camp counselor lady relentlessly harassing people. The place evens out to three stars.
Very expensive excellent quality fish from the market. Didn't try the restaurant. The line was in the parking lot. Once I cooked it, everyone loved it.
Phil's definitely has an industrial feel it, since it started out being a fish supply place first. Maybe because of this, It's not pretentious in any way, but the food is pretty darn good. Just eating fresh seafood while sitting on benches, Is just fine with me. Their Chipinio is a standout, but it's not cheap. If that doesn't float your boat, there are so many other choices to pick from. Just beware of the parking limitations, because that can easily ruin your day.
Grab a table early, especially if you want the amazing tables outside. You can grab a drink while you wait in line. There will be a line, a long one, but with the wait. Parking is most available along the road.
Took an hour to get thru the line and get our food, but it was very good. There's no table service, you order at the counter and they bring it to your table. If it's crazy busy, it doesn't hurt to have someone in your party save a table while the others stand in line. Big bonus, they are dog friendly.
Good quality sea food. Specials change each week. The Halibut was the best piece if fish I had in years. But for the high prices the bread could be much better. The garlic bread looks like it was run over by a truck before being served.
An amazing fish restaurant with great views. Don't miss the cioppino, truly incredible. Huge menu. Ate there twice on our four day vacation.
I love the Cippino. Split it with a friend. Be sure to roll your sleeves up and have plenty of napkins ready.
The food is unbelievably wonderful just what you'd expect at a marina. We ate outside under the umbrellas, watching the ocean and the birds flying by.
A must if you are in Moss Landing.
The line is horrible, and I mean seriously horrible.but the food is definitely worth. The bar service is also great, make sure to try a Bloody Mary or a Michelada cause they are something else here.
If you are not too fussy about eating on the beach an alternative to wait in line is to order the food for take out. If you do so, you won't be able to eat at a table, but you can take your food to the beach and eat in front of the ocean.
Hubby loves their oysters. Super friendly bar staff. Amazing wine choices for a casual place. Nice experience.
Came here for several times. Cioppino is a must try dish. The only problem here is that the restaurant is too famous that it's very hard to find a parking spot and have to wait in a long line to order your dishes.
This was a fantastic place I live in California but I drove my sister home to Seattle and on our way back we just had to stop by the waterfront cuz we kept hearing about Phil's Fish Market and that if we had any chance at all to stop and check it out. Well when we went down to that area it was very crowded with cars and people walking on the Brick Street and the truth is we almost didn't stop because there was no parking close enough for myself and my 85 year old mom to be able to walk to this place easily, but we lucked out and found some parking right at the entrance to Phil's Fish Market it was unbelievable and a funny story which I'll tell you at the end here the market itself is just fabulous it's just roll after roll of shop after shop and lots of hidden things in between if you go looking we found a secret rooftop restaurant not really so Secret but I stumbled across it just because I decided to walk a little further and found a rooftop garden which I'll try to get the pictures to, it was very Serene and beautiful even though we were up there during the height of the smoke from all the fires from Canada and Eastern Washington it was very thick. But I got to watch them tossed the salmon which is actually very difficult to get to to get some pictures because there were a lot of people around but seals is only one of many markets down there and it's really incredible it would take a couple of days to do this place right and we only had about an hour but in that hour we sampled a lot of good treats and I wish I lived in the area because I would come down here a lot I'm not used to this big city type life but somehow once you got out of your car and walking around it was pretty cool this is not the Seattle I remembered visiting back in the 70s this is a very large city now a little scary but nice at the same time.
Ive been coming here since 2004 and it's always incredible! Very popular, expect to wait unless you know the local secrets.
