Phil's Fish Market & Eatery reviews
33Great casual seafood place that lives up to the reviews. Crowded but service is efficient. Fried calamari and ciopinno-packed with delights of the sea-are fabulous.
Great food, funky cool atmosphere, be prepared to grab a table and then go stand in (a long) line to order your food. If you sit outside, which is beautiful, be ready to defend it against the seagulls! Nobody working there seems very happy and they aren't very helpful. There's no table service. Even when you buy two beers and two fountain drinks and lots of food, they charge $1 extra for a to-go cup for your iced tea.unexpected, weird, and ungracious. Best cioppino we've ever had, EVER!
I don’t think I have to say much, I’m sure everyone has heard of Phil’s? ! If not it’s a true must! This place is legendary to sea food and famous for their Cioppino! Drove 2hrs from Central CA to the coast and was not disappointed! Walked up to a line of about 100 people, in front of the line and ordering within an hr! No problem finding a seat, the place is huge and many people take their food to go or behind the restaurant to the beach. Food came out within 15 minutes and I was speechless til the last lick of my plate.
Little wait 30 minutes avg. But worth it. Lots of choices, fresh seafood, will always go back. Family style seating.
We ate there for lunch and dinner lunch was very disappointing we ordered the shrimp a prawn cocktail and it was the stuff that you can buy in a bag served with cocktail sauce then we went back for dinner and I ordered the lobster and Dungeness crab dinner and it was both so overcooked that there was no meat in lobster, after spending 49.95 for the lobster and the crab was hard to get out of shell. Was very disappointed. However the blackened sea scallop out of this world.
Been going here for 20 years now, its always worth the wait. Its doesnt matter what you order, if you enjoy seafood in any form you will be impressed. A necessary stop when visiting the central coast.
Fish and Chowder are fantastic and fresh. The outdoor seating practically right on the beach is great on a nice sunny day. Beach path right outside! Parking is kind of a challenge, and its BUSY on weekends in tourist season. Prepare to wait in a long line if you go in a peak time. Going on a not busy or off season time is great as it's a nice place to enjoy the beach.
2 fryer combo with shrimp and halibut. Soo good. The live bluegrass band, glad to be here, was awesome.
Overpriced, low quality seafood, dripping on grease and butter. No effort is put in here, not even in customer service! Such a dissapointment.
The food was very tasty, but not quite worth the wait in my opinion. The portions are HUGE, and that's not an exaggeration! You can definitely feed to people from one order. We got the tuna melt and the day's special and had lots of left overs.
Totally one of the best seafood I have tried (Also the fact that some friends hyped me up so much). Love how easy the atmosphere is and LOVE THEIR CAESAR (BLOODY MARY) a lot! Totally reasonable price and would go there again and again!:)
Great seafood available.enough parking space, bars, a lot of seatings, great view from patio, access to the beach, everything was wonderful.
Huge selection of seafood at decent prices. Excellent soups. The jambalaya was a real hit and the clam chowder was super thick and tasty
