I made an appointment online for a smog and received a response promptly with my appointment details! When I arrived everyone was friendly and professional and I was in and out so fast; earlier than what they noted on line. Great experience!

QAS has given me great service, and great advice for my Sprinter van.

When Mercedes Reno just reset the computer and told me nothing was wrong, Quality Automotive took the time to figure out that my emissions were going weird, and that CA Mercedes dealers are required fix that under CA emissions laws. So I took my van to a CA dealership and got the emissions system changed out on Mercedes dime ($5k savings)

They do great work, treat my van well. I'm happy to support a local business instead of driving down to Reno.

I broke down in Truckee and took my van to the place with the highest yelp reviews. This is sometimes a mistake, always read the bad one's. These guys took 2 weeks to replace my water pump, forgot to fill the engine oil which they originally said they would do, and probably charged 30% - 40% higher than my SF mechanic. The people on the phone are friendly until you point out an issue and have paid already. Take a gamble elsewhere if it's a Sunday and you can't get quotes from different shops.

They got me in the same day for a smog check and turned around in 30 minutes (faster than promised!).

I had problems finding a servicing shop close to me in Carnelian Bay that could see me quickly so ventured further afield to Truckee. Compared to others (many have still not returned my call) they were responsive and professional. Their fees were fair - not super low or high - but they were very thorough and clearly want a repeat-customer relationship. They clearly know their stuff, important when you hand over complex, expensive machinery that you critically depend upon. If you are looking for an alternative to the dealer where you purchased your car, I would say that they are an excellent alternative providing a similar or better level of service. 5 stars!

Oil change, yep that's all. Bummer experience - To many prompts when calling in, 4 times, x twice then press #1, press #2, press #3, press #4 until I got ahold of a person. Then not realizing I was on the line, staff poked fun at the person on the phone "me".

Calls, text and too many robots, it was a Suddenlink experience. I never received a call about the engine light on either, the fix only the paperwork. I felt like a number! All the best, wont be back.

Made an appointment for the next day and they completed the smog test quickly for a very fair price. I've been using them for a number of years and will continue to go back. Highly recommend.

I normally do not write bad reviews, but I will suggest that anyone who uses this shop get a second opinion BEFORE you allow them to do anything and if they do anything to your car by ALL means take it to another mechanic to make sure they did what they SAID they did and billed you for. I am in the process of having an investigation done on work that I was told was done, but apparently wasn't and I also found out I was charged over 3 times what I should have been charged if the work that they SAID they did was actually done. I feel like I got ripped off and I have been told by other mechanics that looked at the job they did that I got RIPPED off. I'm considering going to the Attorney General and filing a complaint so this doesn't happen to other people. Judging from other reviews I see on here. I'm not the first person who feels they were overcharged and or taken advantage of. I'll leave the investigation to the proper authorities. In the meantime. Caveat Emptor.

All I can say is that they blew me away with helpful, courteous customer service. If you need help.this place is really a breath of fresh air.

I have been taking my SUV to Quality Automotive for 10+ years. I always walk away impressed by the service, quality of work and the professionalism of everyone I come in contact with.

Needed a smog for newly purchased vehicle and were able to fit me in right away and was only a 20 minute wait. Staff was awesome.

Employees have fantastic personalities, great taste in music, and are highly skilled at what they do. Very affordable, the perfect blend of professionalism/laid back atmosphere. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. 5/5 10/10 and on and on and on forever and always

It took only fifteen minutes and I waited in a nice air conditioned lobby with current magazines. Very nice and pleasant. Once finished, Gary, who helped me at the counter, explained the next step which was the DMV. Just a good experience compared to what I was expecting! Very civilized. Thank you.

Made an appointment online, received confirmation email. Drove 20 min for oil change, and when I arrived was told I would have to wait 4-5 days for a oil change? Guy was rude and had no customer service and couldn't care less about the company mixup. His only response was I'll tell the manager.
If that's there attitude, I suggest you think twice about the care they would take with your vehicle.

These guys know what they are doing, the price is right and they are prompt. Much better than slogging to Sacramento or Reno for dealer service.

The men I dealt with (Gary, and Mark) were professional and friendly. They made me feel like my car's maintenance requirements were important to them and made every effort to keep the cost within reason. I will not go to any other mechanics to work on my cars.

Fast friendly service, also helpful me find a place to weigh my new out of state Truck for CA regristration.

I drove up from Reno for my California smog check. I was in a crunch as they had told me they were full for the day. The team there decided to stay a bit longer to make sure I was taken care of. So glad of their assistance and would suggest to anyone to go here.

Went to this shop after getting a list of “required and immediate” repairs from dealer and after a recommendation from a local. BEST SHOP EVER! No BS. Explained EVERYTHING clearly and concisely, talked to me as an equal and answered ALL my questions fully! Did not try to sell me on extras that I did not need! STRAIGHT UP HONEST! Made appointment and arrangements for future service if necessary. After pickup of repaired auto, informed me that one of the dealers “dire warning” was BS! Honest and informative. From now on, will take my vehicles to this shop ONLY!
