Red Chillies The Malabar Cuisine reviews
30Highly recommended when you miss kerala food, hope the covid ends soon so that the buffets can start
Hailing from Gulf (Qatar) I really miss kerala style food and the food here takes me straight back home. Highly recommend beef fry with 2 parothas!
Their beef roast, beef curry and kappa biriyani is my all time favorite. It's a must try place for delicious malayali dishes.
This place is definitely one of the most pleasant place in the neighborhood. Anytime I come there I am awfully glad. They preserve their very high level service and the highest level of meals they give. You can never go wrong with this place. Highly recommended.
We ordered mutton Biriyani, chicken 65 and chicken curry with porottas. The food was superb and authentic, especially the Biriyani.
Great food but really slow service. While the service staff is really courteous, they are understaffed.
Very tasty food.reminds me of my land- Kerala.the food is so genuine & real.we come from Stockton, CA just for mango fish curry, thoran, paratha, kadala curry.
We went to red chillies on a couple of friends' recommendation. We were celebrating something with a big group of people and almost everything we had ordered was subpar. The only thing everyone liked was their egg roast curry. Appams were good too. The fried mushroom starter we ordered looked and tasted like ash. The fish curry had no flavour, overall a huge disappointment.
If you like Kerala food and good ambience this is the place. But it's not that great taste but no other options. Sometimes it taste nice but no consistency
Authentic Kerala food. Do not mind the noise of the cooks and servers talking in their regional language. The taste, ambience, music, makes you feel you are back in Kerala
Serves the best Kerala Porottas in CA. Other dishes that get an A - Beef fry, Travancore fried chicken. Could have been better - roast dishes (beef and mutton) and Kappa biriyani.
Clean, busy lunch hours; buffet has abundant variety. Great tasting food. Customer service would be a 3-star.
The best Indian food I've had in the Bay Area. Friendly staff, wonderful ambiance. Felt welcome immediately upon stepping into the restaurant. Had great staff refilling my water, and very friendly service on checking out. Also did I mention - the food is truly amazing. A big thanks to the staff for a splendid time!
Service was great! The hostess was very cordial. The food was very oily and bland.not what I expected!
The food is pretty average. The waiting time is toooooooo long. Service is not that great. Had to wait a very long time to catch any waiters eye.
We went for lunch. No one really spoke to us and we weren't sure at first if they would be serving off the menu at all (they weren't) or if it was exclusively buffet. The food was ok, but the vegetable pakora and hawla were excellent!
Good Kerala food. A bit pricey though. And they don't serve in the order they take orders. We went there first and 2 tables which came after us were served before us, and they had the same dishes that we ordered.
We here for lunch on a weekend day and the food was really good. Amazing was that not everything could be changed into mild. The dishes we chose were delicious. The special dishes of the region or really fantastic
Awesome Kerala style dishes with hard to find freshly made parottas (Kerala style). Not sure if we have another Kerala restaurant in Bay area
