The store manger Omar is the best!
He has a great customer service. He is super responsible and friendly. Yesterday Door Dash did a mistake and i went personally to Rubios. Omar solved and handle the problem very well

I'll still take Rubio's over Chipotle for a healthier Mexican meal anyway! Yes, the portions are alittle small for the pay, but what isn't these days- Good experience after my holiday shopping:)

Rubio's are consistently good, no matter where you are. It is one of the very few "fast food" chains that I'll consider.

My friend and I each ordered the original fish taco. They came to us with both the fish and tortilla cold.

We really like Rubio's food. Usually the service is good and the place is clean.there were some issues with a couple of these things, hence the 3 stars.

The food did not disappoint, even though the portions are victims of inflation.bigger prices, smaller portions. That's understandable.

The service was fine. Acceptable.

Now the main issue (s) : the place was kinda dirty! Not too busy with customers. You know, one can sweep and chat at the same time?

I won't stop going to Rubio's. It's unlikely I go back to this location.

Fish was small and I received broken chips and not many whole ones for dipping into my beans.

This is where we go for Taco Tuesday and they never disappoint. Clean restaurant, fast service and friendly staff. Frequently stop on the way home on Tuesdays to grab a quick dinner before heading home.

Been eating at Rubio's for over thirty years. Lately I've been disappointed especially that they are charging fifty cents for extra chipotle white sauce for my mahi tacos. It's the principle because if they weren't stingy with the sauce in the first place I wouldn't have to ask for extra. My reviews are typically one star or five stars, to leave a review I either really like it or I don't. I'm somewhere in the middle now with Rubio's. Take em or leave em

They just can't get the order correct. The workers would rather talk to each other than serve the customer.

I am a door dasher And the service and the attitude of one particular cashier is terrible you try to talk to her and say thank you and she never responds

Love the grilled shrimp keto taco! The keto cheese tortilla is so good - glad they added it.

Double check your order though if you’re customizing your food - a couple items were wrong.

Placed my order for over $45 waited 20 min longer than I should have just to have 1 person come out and say I owe them money when I paid credit. Then I question how they can only get a partial payment when an order was paid for by card and I showed on my statement but the manager of this location was too stupid to understand how plastic works so I schooled him on how to refund my money and will never go back to this incompetent location.

Very disappointed with the Original fish tacos plate. The fish was half the size of the tortilla. I made one taco of the two that came in the plate. The chips that came with the plate were crumbs. The Taco shop close by sells the same plate with rice and bean for the same price. Their fish fills the whole tortilla and has a real San Felipe flavor.

Everyone had told me how great this place was. I was eating with 4 other family members, (3 locals and another out of towner who swore by it. We ordered the family taco fish kit with two extra tacos and extra sauces. Picked it up and it looked like everything was there. Some fish was in an extra container so all looked good with out opening all containers. Get back to house and extra tacos and sauce were not there. Called and they apologized and said they forgot to give us the extra bag sitting in to go area as she had found it. They compensated for their mistake and all was fine with ordering part.
Now for the fish supplied to make your own taco. It was a good looking piece until you bit into it. Heavily breaded and had less fish than a fish stick. There was no fish flavor at all and 90% breading. Beans, rice and guacamole was good so they moved from 1 star to 2. Probably really a 2.5.

Would not allow us to order without masks. It’s fine though lots of other places to eat that don’t discriminate at this mall.

I've been eating at & loving Rubio's since they had only one location on Mission Bay Dr (the first & best!). Ate @ the Grossmont Mall location on Tuesday and was very disappointed. The staff was very rude & unprofessional, the iced tea had big fat fruit flies (10-12 of them!) buzzing around & inside the dispenser, and not only were our fish tacos mushy, they were tasteless. I was grossed out and disappointed with so many factors I doubt I'll ever go back!

The restaurant was extremely dirty, the floor looked liked it wasn’t swept in a couple days, we had to ask if they could clean our table and they left it wet

From Uber Eats (postmates) delivery. The people in charge getting Uber Eats orders ready expect Uber drivers to fill up drinks, this is not our job, if you are short of staff this is the restaurant problem not us.
As a restaurant you should make sure you seal the food and drinks for your customers, if I was your customer and from you at Uber Eats I expect you to be responsables of serving and parking all my food and drinks.
ORDER time 11: 22: 23 AM of today

Walked up to the counter and instead of a pleasant greeting was met with, “ Your order will take 25 minutes”. I said okay, no problem. While waiting, went in the bathroom with my 5 yr old grandchild to find an overflowing toilet and water and trash all over the floor. Got home 30 minutes away to find my son’s blackened salmon burrito plate left out of my order. Most expensive item in a large order. Now will have to go back and somehow prove I deserve my money back for the missing entree. Very disappointing experience. I do understand good/any employees are hard to find right now.
