Safeway, San Jose CA

I stay closer to trader Joe's, so only come here if I can't find it in Joe's or if closed. But I am glad to hAve this store close by as between trader Joe's, India cash and carry and Safeway I got everything I need for groceries

Not so good. I have been to two different Safeways over the past few months and every time they advertise catfish on sale they have none in the butcher's Department. That is false advertising, and misleading. I am going to report them to whatever organization I can, that deals with these types of issues. And they have not lowered their costs as they are advertising!

If owner is there, RUN to another Safeway. He doesn't put anything on the sandwich and is very rude. He doesn't know how to talk to neighbors.

This Safeway is amazing! There is everything you need and if you have a club card you can save a lot of money! If you love coffee there's a Starbucks inside of Safeway!

It's good because it's close by but I have never seen more than 2 billing stations open. There is perpetually a long line of customers and no more than 2 billing sections open. I wish they did something about this. Probably adding a couple of self check out stations will help both them the guests a little.

The worst bakery department compared to other stores. You hardly get cake ordered for special occasion. I had experience twice with birthday cakes. Once no cake and the second time no theme decoration. Also the people in bakery Dept hardly know to package cakes. Otherwise kind of ok.

Old, crappy Safeway with a horrible bakery, dated interior, confusing layout, and slow checkout service.
