30Clean, nice selection. No staffing walking the floor and sooooo expensive. I never do large shopping here only go for a specific item or items.
Had an awesome sandwich from the deli made by Steven. Fully loaded and delicious. Great customer service.
The interior of this Safeway is very nice and clean. Plenty of shade trees populate the parking lot. Great prices and virtually everything is in-stock. The fountain soda machine has been shutdown since COVID-19, otherwise, 5 stars is appropriate.
Sometimes the sheer size of the store and the required work by the employees so demanding, yet there is considerable attention given as to how to make the items appealing to purchase, but also the organizational patterns established to make the merchandise handy to find show the extent to which the employees go to arrange items. Thanks for such careful arranging and appealing to our sight sensibility,
First off, hard working crew. Secondly, when I went to the deli counter, this one staff in particular Steven was super nice and friendly, even though he had a toothache, he worked his butt off with a smile. Made a beautiful sandwich, looked great and even tasted better! I got the smoking turkey and I suggest it to anyone that goes in! Thank you Steven again
I had a lot of new people and I shop late at nightcuz I can't be around a lot of people and the guy at the checkout experience to him I was getting a new phone and I could not get my app and he said for the just4u crisis that he wouldn't do it but maybe for one or two because those are for people who have it at I'll be back very little as I used to shop about a thousand plus dollars

Very clean, and things are easy to find in this store. I've been to some Safeways where they have two sets of isles and those are harder to navigate.
Prices are middle of the road, definitely not the cheapest, but also not the most expensive.
In an effort to avoid possible exposure to Covid-19, we opted to use Safeway's delivery service for the first time ever.
Expected to be delivered this morning between 9am and 11am, we were surprised to receive a notification that our groceries had been delivered shortly after 9am. We checked everywhere and found no groceries.
Another notification that our groceries were delivered was received about an hour later. Again, no sign of them anywhere. The dog didn't bark so no one had been here.
A short while later a notification was received from the bank that Safeway charged us for our order.
A short while later.yes, another notification.from Safeway alerting us that, mysteriously, our order had been canceled, and provided a number to call. Which directed us to another number, which pointed us to another number, where a woman answered and performed the most basic functions of her job while maintaining the attitude that she was being inconvenienced.
We were informed we would receive a refund within 5-7 business days and of course, a $20 Safeway gift card.
We firmly yet politely and respectfully informed her that would be pointless seeing as how we intend to never shop there again. We also expressed to her we'd much rather have our groceries. She tells us she can have them here by 1pm tomorrow and we let her know, respectfully, that we were hungry at that very moment.
A brief.very brief pause as we consider waiting and then we declined and opted to allow them to hold on to our money for 5-7 business days at absolutely zero benefit to us.
The woman then informed us that if we were going to be disrespectful then we could hang up. And, very very respectfully countered with the fact that we'd been nothing but polite and respectful, respectfully of course.
So our experience with Safeway delivery: they're holding a chunk of our money for a while and we just had to venture out into the minefields of Covid-19 to get some groceries.
Later we'll order more groceries from Amazon.
Had everything i was looking for. Everyone wore masks and kept social distinces, patrons as well as store employees. Very pleasant shopping experience!
I always enjoy this Safeway. I normally able to find what I meed. I wish there was such an extended version in Grass Valley off Neal or at Brunswick. I do like all the Saceways in our area, they all have their own charm. Thank for for kind and patient staff even when its 5 mi utes to closing.

Prices are way to high we spent 150.00 on something we could have got down the hill for about 50.00
The store is beautifully laid out and i am always impressed by the wonderful your amazing items made available.
Terrible. Every line was long, with full carts. Even the self-service lines had 5-6 people waiting to get to the stations. There were a couple of lanes closed. It seems that Safeway is always under staffed. I only had two items, so I left without buying anything.
Man overseeing self check was extremely rude and yelled at me because the equipment kept messing up. I've never had a problem with the self check before. I will find somewhere else to shop.
Store was clean, organized and plenty of staff around to help point you in the right direction. This is a larger store with a big variety of goods. Lots of parking, and a convenient location. Store was busy, but staffed accordingly so little to no wait on checkout.
It's an okay store. Produce is usually fresh. It's organized well enough. But, the ever present homeless people are rather off-putting.
Love this store. Very clean and staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I do my monthly grocery shopping here every month! Since I only shop once a month, it is important to me that the food stay fresh for a lengthy period and I am never disappointed in the Auburn Safeway!
