Safeway, Los Gatos CA

Deli, is never prepared, always out of common cheese. The guy that works there acts like your putting him out or bothering him. DO YOUR JOB!

While shopping around, I seen a kid who I have talked to before at checkout, who is clearly underage and if I recall correctly, said he goes to Westmont High School. He was using a heat gun and having to pull this rubbery material off of the freezers with his bare hands. What looked to be a supervisor seemed like she was demonstrating how to remove it, and shortly after she left, I saw the kid quickly pull back his hand and was clearly in pain. The supervisor demonstrating it for the kid had no protective equipment on, and didn't even offer the poor kid any protection, not even safety gloves for the heat. The heat gun seemed to be a very powerful, industrial heat gun, there is no way that it should be being used without any protective equipment. I couldn't believe what I saw, I don't think I will be shopping here anymore if this is the way that people are treated.

The store is nice, huge selection of fruits and vegetables. Everything looked fresh and very organized. I wasn't to thrilled with the employees. I get this at alot of stores. Ppl stero type me and its annoying. When I shop, I never no what I want, so maybe I do look sketch because I confused. Anyways, the plain clothes employee they sent to follow me was annoying. Just being honest.

This store was blanketed with a heavy, unmoving odor of something burnt but machinery breaks, no big deal. Flies in the refrigerators add to the dismal feel of this store, but parking was easy, the groceries were good & the cashier was very nice. I wouldn't go out of my way to go there again & if not for the flies I wouldn't avoid it, it's just okay.

If you’re buy produce here then read this.

An employee, who has been working here for a long time told me that all the produce is soaked in a chemical solution with water for at least a few minutes to make it crispy, organic and non organic. On the chemical it says “Not approved by the FDA” and Safeway produce employees are told it’s just “chlorine”. If you pick up produce and it’s trimmed avoid buying it here or anywhere else because it’s soaked in that solution to keep it looking fresh even if it’s weeks old. What’s the point of paying double the price of organic if it’s crisped by unknown solution not even approved by the FDA.

The store was clean and the customer service was excellent I will be back as a satisfied customer

Store is too small for locale, continuous & ever present stock issues. Needs a mngr that hasn't drunk the corp Safeway kool-aid, place needs a quick response mngment style.react n adapt is how you make up for a lack of back room space.

Deli lady was rude and messed up my sandwich anyway after a second time. Never goin in that store again. Wow!

It was Safeway. They were open, shelves we're stocked, social distancing was in play. I'm going back with less fear.

Thia is the closest convenient store closed to where I live so it makes it very convenient how ever the staff that works in this store are friendly and helpful.

The staff at the registers are always great, super friendly & helpful. The deli on the other hand is a whole different story. I randomly get a sandwich there and every time I regret it. Sandwich always ends up being dry, the service is never good. You feel like you're bothering them by ordering a sandwich and then they won't let you pay at the counter, where they have a register. They make you go wait and the grocery line even if you're just buying a sandwich.

Got a love your neighborhood Safeway. They completed a complete renovation about two years ago. Store is bright and clean with an updated deli and meat selection. Staff is friendly and available to help. 

Very small and expensive, I only stop for convenients. It's close to work and if I don't have time I'll stop here. Other Safeway on Winchester is 100x better!

This location feels a little more high-end; almost more like an independent grocer instead of a big chain. Lots of varieties of bulk tea and the shelves are often stocked pretty well. The biggest drawback is the lack of variety sometimes. Since the store is on the smaller side, they can't stock as many items as your larger Safeway.

Great grocery store. There's tons of selection and everything you could possibly need. Super convenient location for anyone in Campbell or Saratoga. There's always parking here as well. Nothing renowned about this store but it just has everything you'd need or want.

Checkers are slow and sometimes rude, sometimes overly friendly. One reached out to fondle my new handbag - extremely inappropriate. ALWAYS understaffed.

This is a small Safeway which supports the neighborhood which surrounds. It stocks all the essentials, but don’t expect to find everything since it lacks in space. It more then makes up for it with its friendly staff. Just avoid it when the middle school across the street gets out of school.

Everyone here including the management were friendly and professional. Very neat and well organized isles. Wide variety of fairly priced produce

This Safeway store has NO Management what so ever, how much like longer can this Safeway continue to stay competitive & in business. I dread even having to go in there. Don’t even think about eating from the Deli, it’s Gross even past employees have stated that. Checking out, expect to stand in line for ALWAYS a ridiculous amount of time! Safeway obviously DOES NOT give a hoot about how things are here.

Constantly long, slow lines at checkout. Some cashiers are friendly, some are grumpy, and most have no sense of urgency.
