Safeway, Menlo Park CA

This is the best Safeway in the area, far superior to the Redwood City and Woodside locations. They have way more selection, including a respectable variety of "international" (mainly East and South Asian) products. The produce is usually fresh and the service is good.

I've never seen lines like you find at this store. And staff that completely blocks the aisles while restocking and doesn't care that you can't shop. It's just the worst.

Huge Safeway! It even has a Starbucks and Jamba Juice. There are bathrooms and the parking lot is big.

This is generally a very nicely put together store, well stocked and attended. Sometimes a bit too popular, there are times when there is no wait, and times where the lines are extremely long, so you may have to set aside some extra time, particularly at peak times.

Seasonal areas with ckipstrips of peoducts in each commodities and hot soup and Boars Head sandwich meats and Poke syshi bar right at entrance

This the cleanest and most organized Safeway I have been to. I have been living in Menlo Park for years and every time I dropped by this place I have found nothing but the finest sanitary conditions I could ask for.

Average food at an average price, however the layout of this store is atrocious. The same items are spread out across the entire store. After feeling like a complete moron for spending a solid 10 minutes looking for butter. I found it in the chips isles. Really guys?

This is a clean Safeway with ample parking. Came here to pick up some OTC medicine and they had a good selection.

Safeway is getting a little outrageous with their prices they food is not that great to pay that much for

Go here if you like waiting in line as your ice cream melts and customers loose their temper. No bell system like TJs.

Usually they overcharge or double charge at least one item at the checkout. Check your receipts.

Great selection of groceries. Fresh seafood. Easy access from El Camino Real in both directions (north and south). Jamba Juice and Starbucks inside. May have long waiting lines after 5 pm on weekdays, especially on Fridays.

Lots of variety, many tills, easily accessible, open 24/7 and offers fresh meals and products. This would make for an easy 5 stars if it was not for the prices - Trader Joes tends to offer products of similar quality at lower prices.

Wonderful neighborhood grocery. Not the largest or newest, but it is re-modeled and has an excellent selection.
