Safeway, Concord CA

You're killing me Safeway! These "free" items every weekend (Saturday sampler) that you can never actually find, and about which the store staff seem to be blissfully unaware. It is bait and switch IMO.

I like Safeway, but Raleys more. Would like to compliment Kat, who assists at the self-pay area.

The store was very busy, but employees were very helpful. The produce guy tracked down an item on the other side of the store that would have taken me forever to find on my own. Above and beyond!

Went to the deli to get a sandwich. The ladies were wonderful but a young man who worked back there tried to starta problem with me tryin to mean mug from behind the counter. For what appeared to be no reason.i asked if he had a problem and he said he did. I asked why, no response. Asked if he liked his job. He said he'd be there atthe end of the day. If I see him in there again I will complainto his manager again. One employee can mess up a whole nice sandwich experience. Be careful who you hire safeway. I gave 2 stars cause the manager was cool and respectful and the ladies were wonderful. Wish I coulda given 5 stars. One guy.

Convenient and decent selection but increasingly has issues with homeless in the area and a bit unsafe. Prices are high.

I thought some of the people were rude but some were nice, the Chinese food I had was a RIP off I paid 10 dollars for rice and chicken, the rice was so cheap I threw it away but the chicken was o.k. I also had cake for 2.49 cents and a strawberry milk for a dollar I thought over all I do not like their rice and I will not ever eat it again thank you

I have to give this safeway a big five star thumbs up they have way cool people there and the deli team is awsome. I really use this store alot and I have never had one bad experience there great place to shop

Since I was cooking something different, I was able to go online to find the items and what section they were located in. Hence, I was able to get in/out of the store faster.

When I tried to order a cake online at Safeway.com and it said it would not be ready for 48 hours I hit the PANICK button! Called this bakery up and not only was the lady kind, she had it ready under 24 hours and it looked even more amazing than the online photos. I don't have enough confidence in my Berkeley/Oakland Safeway's to deliver this kind of service and quality! Officially my new place to order cakes! Their deli looked good also!

Still good, still Safeway. Drinking the white sugar free rockstars I wish they had them more in stock. If they are out, it's usually "my" flavor.

If you can't find something, then ask, there are employees everywhere. Overhead signs are very helpful.

We also buy alot of vegetables and fruits when on sale!

I would get 5 stars.buuuuut if you go In at 2-3AM they make you wait to ring you up, they literally tell you "you need to wait, I'll ring you up in 5 min" then point at a clock on the wall.its weird

I like the store. But the staff are not really service oriented. Not friendly, don't really listen.

Who is the b**** behind the deli counter right now on a Sunday at 6pm? She acused my boyfriend of stealing food at the check out line from weeks ago and charged us double for what we were ordering today. She had no right to charge us double (not that it cost much anyways) I should have called the store manager over. There is enough racial profiling in this world, I didn't expect it from Safeway.

Not a bargain and not expensive upscale but full service well-rounded well-stocked supermarket. You will find everything you need here.and if you try you can find sales and Bargains depending on the time of year.

Usual Safeway rite down to never opening more than 2 resisters no matter how busy it gets. For some reason they did not put in a sleff checkout in a new store.

Their customer service is horrible. I was waiting for 10 minutes just to get a breakfast burrito. My boyfriend and I were really upset and he decided not to get anything just the fact it took forever to make mine. The last time I went to get a breakfast sandwich, I’ve dealt with a very rude worker, once I’ve got my sandwich. She literally threw it at me. I didn’t say anything. However, I should of but I did not have time. I did not get the ladies name either although, I should have.

This place is a dump. Homeless people everywhere, shoplifters. Employees who hate their job & hate their customers. You know it's a bad place when they have security guards. Banks have security guards not grocery stores

Go there to get things food for the house good food as always that why its call Safeway is the best way.
