San Diego NB Commissary

Super fresh produce and aisles are easy to find the items you need. Only downfall is how crowded it can be at times and it is hard to find a carton of eggs without a broken one in it.

My mother cannot see very well and they denied accommodating a customer with a disability (not allowing entry to guests *including caregivers) due to COVID-19 restrictions. They are not disabled friendly.

They ask for my id coming on the base, coming in the commissary and at the register, plus made my girlfriend wait outside like a dog.do you want me to shop there or not

Huge store! Plenty of selection and variety. Only gave it 4 stars because some of the produce was not very fresh.

Large & busy. Excellent produce, frozen sections, many choices. If you have military benefits use it. Package store right across the street. Nice food court at the exchange. Also an Optical shop. Large home store with electronics.

Always a great workout visiting all 3 buildings, staff always helpful, food court has a nice variety prices are always fantastic with a large selection of inventory

Huge! Plenty of selections and prices are reasonable. There is a large variety of vegan options although no vegan cheese products that I could see.

They serve you since you serve. It's worth going. I served 22 years and it's part of my retirement benefits. Thank you all Commissary's. (Even the one I shopped at on Patch Barracks, Stuttgart, Germany. They treated me well while in was there in 2009-2010)

Excusive military and military and their families customers only Great variety and selection and very friendly cashiers. Lots of parking including ADA spots. Could me more closer parking for "Gold Star" families. Meat department is huge, as well as a butcher counter. They also gave a "Boars Head" deli cheese and meat counter. There's a fresh sushi counter. There's also a "grab-and-go" section with a wide option of items ala 7/11 convenience stores.

This commissary is very well stocked with both brand named items as well as generics. All of the staff members are friendly and very professional.

I love to come to commissary because fruits and vegetables are fresh and the workers are friendly and nice.and they have good deals and of course no tax.love it

Probably the largest commissary I can remember.large variety of products, same crappy looking grocery store sushi though, never has hand baskets at the entrance

The best commissary I've ever been too. There are never long wait times and they keep it extremely clean.

Had a terrible experience with waitress, was not patient and could not answer questions on the menu. Not helpful, cashier/ shift manager treated bad and said don't care about your order

This location has a great selection of foods to buy but is always mobbed with people, if you're mobility impaired choose a different location.

Good selection of everything your military family needs at good prices. Gets packed on weekends and paydays though.

Overall pretty clean and organized. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the staff aren't always the friendliest.

This commissary is huge. Lines are long and some cashier are great but others.are entertaining to watch.

The San Diego Commissary has a wide selection of items at very good prices. The guys at the meat and fresh fish counter are very helpful and friendly, as are the staff at the deli. The best time to come is before noon, when traffic into the base starts to increase. I try to avoid shopping close to the 1st and 15th of the month (payday), because the the place is often packed.

Today, around 1: 00p was rjw perfect time to go grocery shopping right before party day. Everyone was still at Work and it was quick and easy.
