Sequoia Park Zoo reviews
39Love this place. Prices are up, but yet are adding a Bear and Coyote exhibits. The Redwood Walks are awesome.
The Zoo is very small and we didn't see a lot of animals, so I would say it's not worth it, but the only thing I love was THE SKYWALK! Breathtaking and amazing, I felt so small amongst these enormous beautiful trees.
And well, the barn animals are fun for the kids too.
If i could rate this any lower i would.they should be ashamed of the lack of space for the animals (the very few that were there).
A very well planned Zoo, with Animals to be seen as you stroll through the Zoo. This is a small Zoo in comparison to L. A.or San Diego, BUT we'll worth the time. The best part is that you can walk through the Redwoods. Don't miss the special place.
This place is awesome. We visit every time we're in Eureka. The skyway is new and it's awesome.
I love this cute little zoo! The Redwood Skywalk is amazing and all the kids at the zoo looked like they were having a great time. It's a nice size zoo for small kids like toddlers. You could probably go through it in 45 mins or less if you weren't taking your time.
Be sure to take your time with the redwoods though. The sky walk is stunning but you may need some patience when crossing the rope bridges. Some visitors quickly figure out that they have a fear of heights/bridges and must take their time crossing. Be conscious when sharing a bridge as the rocking may cause others to panic.
Other than that, the water feature is a plus for the kiddies cuz everyone loved playing with it.
Have fun!
Season pass is great, love coming here like it's a walk in the park. Can't wait for the redwood canopy exhibit.
Beautiful zoo tucked away in the redwoods. Many exciting animals and education surrounding local species and habitats. Garden and park with hiking trails adjacent. Awesome petting zoo.
Really nice little zoo for this area. The price was very reasonable, maximum of $10 for the whole day and it really felt like you got your money's worth. We took my niece their and she had a fun time walking through the zoo and had a fun time at the small petting zoo area. It looks like they have plans for expanding to be a little larger and it seems very interesting!
This zoo is perfect. We love visiting here as often as possible. It's walkable with small kids, the zookeepers are informed, knowledgeable, friendly, helpful. The animals are interesting. The otter exhibit is among the top ten in the world. Flamingos, red pandas, barnyard animals, turtles, gibbons, bald eagles. Their expansion project for 2019 and beyond is incredibly exciting-walking up and tall among the redwoods? Yes, please.
Very quaint and well kept zoo. It is on the smaller side, but the difference is that unlike some larger zoos you are able to have a better view of the exhibits as well as more interaction with the animals. All of the staff are friendly and more than willing to answer your questions in regards to the animals. River otter and red panda feeding times are must sees.
Absolutely loved this zoo! It's small but great! My favorites are definitely the river otters! They are super cute and their encolsure let's you be right up next to them as they playfully swim around!
The barnyard section was also great with a little petting zoo area with goats and a sheep!
All around I absolutely loved our visit and will definitely be coming back!
Great little zoo. Not big, but you can get up close and learn a lot. The otters stole the show! Beautiful setting in a grove of Redwoods.
Love this zoo. Some exciting things have happened since I was last here and it looks like many more are in the works. Unfortunately the river otters like to hide so I wasn't able to see them but maybe next time.
Love the drive to the duck pond as a kid it seemed like such a long drive and the trails are great to walk
Sequoia Park Zoo. It's small, but they have tons of events the keep things fun. Sequoia Park right next to, and behind it is beautiful. I lovingly call it my little piece of the forest moon of Endor. Visit and walk the small trail during sunset. Gorgeous.
All the staff are super friendly in this "fun sized zoo". The cafe food is surprisingly delicious and their are loads of activities for children! Be sure to stop next door at the playground in the redwoods afterwards.
It's such a nice zoo and the entry is so cheap! They have an otter feeding at 3 and a red panda feeding at 4 every day. The otters love the attention and are very visible:) There's also a barn animal petting zoo and two aviaries and much more! I highly recommend spending a day here.
A wonderful zoo focused on caring for animals no longer able to live in the wild, teaching about Humboldt's ecology. Beautiful setting, cute cafe and gift shop. Can't wait for the canopy walk to be built.
Best zoo in the miles i love it so much and the staff is amazing there is not one thing id would change its so special
