24If I could give this place a zero, I would. On 07/08/2020, I brought my vehicle to this Lexus Dealership for service, including tire rotation. I had no reason to believe that I would be charged for a service not rendered, in this case, tire rotation. Upon discovery of this lack of service, I immediately called my Service Consultant, Juan Diaz, and left him a message regarding my dissatisfaction of today's vehicle service. I then contacted Bryan, Service Manager, regarding this matter, and left him a phone message to return my call. I then contacted the General Manager, Robert K, with a Southern accent, and spoke with to him about my concerns. He stated he would look into this matter and would vall me back. He did not. He had the Service Manager call me instead. When I saw that I had a missed call from the dealership but no message was left, I called back and asked to speak with Robert, General Manager. Robert informed me that his service staff informed him that my tires were rotated and possibly I was incorrect with my findings. When I shared that I had documentation to support my findings, he said that he was not going to argue with me and that he would put the tires back as they were. I told him there was nothing to put back as they were never rotated. Robert, I hope you read this review. Not only did you insinuate that I was lying, your lack of concern and emphatic attitude towards me, a 12 year Lexus Customer, was unwarranted and humiliating. The easy fix to all of this was for you to have me bring in my car, no questions asked, no incinuations that I was lying. What is the point of asking to have my tires rotated, again? I hope your treatment towards me was due to the heat and not because this is who you truly are. You should not be a General Manager. You lack people skills. By the way, my Service Consultant, Juan Diaz, never called my back. Thanks Shottenkirk staff for a memorable experience.
The search for my ideal vehicle was completed here. Y'all must ask for Bob Minton. Bob handled my sale with class, respect and I left feeling valued and appreciated vs just another customer. I had less common accommodations being an out of state purchaser and my expectations were exceeded with this transaction thanks to Mr. Minton assisting all the details throughout my busy work day. He ensured every details involved in the transfer was thought through and organized for me. Thanks Bob for putting a huge smile of my face (Tippin' my hat to you.) Bob Minton at this Shottenkirk Lexus dealership is THE MAN!
Made a service appointment online.
Printed a copy for myself and the service department just in case. My appointment was first one at 7 am.
As stated on my online appointment sheet I came in to have the tire pressure sensor light turned off.
I had already purchased tire sensors and they were replaced the previous month. I was told to wait on service clerk and he would be in shortly. He showed up and asked why I was there. I explained I had made appointment online and needed the tire pressure sensor light turned off. He said, "Let's go to my office. " There he questions me on what work had been done on vehicle. I explained my sister in law had died and I purchased the Lexus from my brother in law. Had recently spent $2,000 on engine and other repairs. Was told a that time need strut assembly replacement, but was not an emergency. Therefore, I would be doing that in the future. Service clerk tells me if just light we can turn that off no charge, but if something else going on will have to charge you $165 for diagnostics to find out what it is. I was first one at service department and watched other customers come and go. After some time service clerk comes into waiting area with photo copies of the struts etc.
I already knew about this problem. Then he said that both tire sensors on left side of car bad. What? I just had those replaced. He said it would be $450 to replace those and included two sensors at $70 each.
I told him again they were replaced. I go to checkout and cashier tells me it is $165 today for diagnostics.
I paid $165 cash for nothing. I already knew about the struts. Too, I took care back to where the sensors were put on. The pulled the left tires off and came to get me to look. My car guy showed me the diagnostic hand held computer showing both sensors worked.
Also, at Lexus they did not shut off sensor light.
Also, I asked while at Lexus for the recall clip on the carpet under the accelerater. They did not have in stock. The sensors for all four tires and spare I paid under $100 online. My tire guy put them all on for $75. I paid right at $175 total for all tire sensors replaced before going to Lexus to turn tire pressure light off. Total scam at Lexus. They took $165 and never turned tire pressure light off telling me I needed two new sensors on left tires. My tire guy said either they have a bad hand held computer or they lied.
I think the later. $165 is not a whole lot of money, but maybe worth a trip with my service papers to small claims court. Will keep you posted. Elwood

Robert L made this the best car-buying experience I have ever had. No pressure, knowledgeable, personable. Made the process simple and pleasant. I drove home with my leased Lexus that day. And the customer service could not have been better - from Robert to Joe (finance manager), to Josue who came to our home and programmed gate and garage access to the car, and Angela who went over every detail regarding features and functions of the vehicle. I like patronizing businesses where the employees like their jobs - and this definitely came through from everyone with whom we interacted. I definitely recommend Shottenkirk Desert Lexus and specifically, Robert, for a positive shopping experience.
Came in to get a service checkup on my Lexus but found out it was above my budget, still they were able to take my car in to fix a recall and also provide me details about my car for future maintenance so i really appreciate that
I've bought 3 cars from Shottenkirk (actualy, 2 from Desert Lexus, its previous incarnation, and 1 from the newly named Shottenkirk). The buying experience has always been good. (Most recently with
Clay.)
But when I returned my 2017 ES (lease was up), Joe Pestano, Sr, the general manager, promised - unequivocally, on the phone - to take care of a $300 charge by Lexus for a minor scrape on the bottom right front fender. (Mind you, the car was 5500 miles UNDER its allotment and in otherwise cherry condition.)
Whether he was just getting them to write it off or whether Shottenkirk was paying it, I don't know, or care. But I've bought 7 Lexuses and frankly, I would expect them to take care of something like this for a longtime customer.
He never followed through. Three weeks went by. I called, I stopped by, I texted. He avoided me. I ended up having to pay Lexus financial to avoid it going to collection.
I will never buy another car here, or another Lexus. I'm SO disappointed in them.
I cant say enough about Navor and Craig Jones. I searched a long time for a certain SUV found one at their dealership that I was interested in. Problem was I live in LA 2 hours away and didnt know how I would get to Cathedral City to look at the car. I called on a Monday and spoke to Craig and said I could try to get down there on the weekend. A few days later they had lowered the price by over 1.000.00 and I knew that was my price range and all. Called talked to Navor, he did a video for me of the inside and outside of the car plus a face time. I then said I couldnt get there until Sunday and he said if you are interested Craig and I will drive it out to you which they DID! They were so nice and honest and Nabor was happy for me. They came to my work, I drove it around and they had a sale. They said that if I am ever in the PS area to stop in and say hello and they will give the car a free wash. So great! Thank you Navor for your honesty. I LOVE the car!
Johnny the Service Writer is great and they have me a beautiful car to drive while they worked on mine!
Very deceiving adds. They offer a car that seems like a good deal. Then they make you go. When you arrive they "just sold it". They want to show you similar more expensive ones. OF COURSE! The next day, they have the deceving add again to lure more people. DECEIVING DEALER!

If you didn’t know a thing about the Hybrid ES300H, they would not say a thing nor inform you about certain apps. (Mouse pad) on this car. Plus, the finance dept isn’t all their either.
The salesman who worked with us thought was very nice.

Our LS460 was over heating on our trip back to Phoenix. We were able get to this dealership to have it investigated. The service rep was able get us in. They resolved the problem and performed a routine service as well within 3 hours. This was outstanding service! Lexus service is the best.
This is the 2nd lexus we bought from Shottenkirk Desert Lexus. We drove home our first rx350l today with absolute pleasure dealing with Bob, Paul, Alexander and joseph. Thank you!

James Simmons is the reason I take my Lexus GS350 to this dealership. James is outstanding! He always takes care of my services and warranty issues, and makes sure I can quickly leave with a courtesy vehicle so I can continue my business. A great personality and so caring. I have to give the five star review due to James Simmons service consultant. He was able to take the time to work with me on this issue. Told him that I had an audio issue that was intermittent and they, the technicians were able to find out it was a bad amp. I was given a courtesy car and in and out of the dealership in 15 minutes. I am glad I purchased a Lexus and bought the Platinum Warranty coverage. I have only dealt with one other service consultant and felt like I was rushed out of there, James was professional and attentive to figuring out my issue, so if you go to Shottenkirk Lexus I would highly recommend seeing James Simmons!
New to the area so this was the first time taking my vehicle in for service to Shottenkirk Desert Lexus. Their customer service is excellent and above standard. My service consultant Kenny Stiles was amazing! I definitely recommend this dealership and will be back.
