Sierra Hot Springs reviews
22Extraordinary vibes and super friendly service. The meals were crisp and enchanting. Will clearly recommend this spot to anyone. Fair prices and generous portions. Great job.
Hippie hideaway hot springs resort. Rooms for nightly rates, and rustic camping available. They have the best facilities of any developed, natural hot spring I've been too.
Amazing views of the mountains, multiple hot springs to choose from. Clothing optional.
This place is popular with Northern Nevada and California locals, and international visitors from China, Korea, and Russia.
Used to be better. Depending on the day the staff and management are sorely lacking in professionalism.
I love this place so much! Was sad to find out they are closed right now because we were in the area but we have come many time before and this place is like heaven on earth.
Kids are allowed but they must be quiet, which can be tough, but the grounds are beautiful and the kitchen is a blessing. Beautiful silent hot pool in temple.
I absolutely love this place! Great place to heal, relax, and refresh. I highly suggest getting a massage here all of the therapists that I have gotten a massage from are AMAZING!
The facility is true to itself: it feels like a house and the staff feel real, not like corporate minions. The springs are always enjoyable and the views are gorgeous. I recommend trying a soak in the meditation pool at night.
The location is remote but still close to a few places to eat during the day. They have nice, clean, campgrounds and a cozy inn to warm up in if you get too cold. Overall it's the sort of place to go when you need to give your body a much needed rest and reset. Keep in mind clothing, in any amount, is optional and there are many who exercise the freedom. The environment for such is very comfortable and judgement free.
I love this place so much. It's very rejuvenating. I recommend just getting an annual pass if you think you'll be back a few more times.
Really nice facility and location.prices for the pools and sauna aren't too bad and the time given is very generous.beautiful location.gets busy after burning man every year, lots of burners coming to wash off all that playa funk.very comfortable even when crowded.clothing optional.take a walk in the woods if you want to get away from everything.one of the best developed hot springs i've been to!
If you want to place to get away and for it to be quiet this is the place. I like to talk and socialize a little bit more than they would like and the smell of the water is like rotten eggs
Absolutely my favorite place to unwind all the way and release every tension and stress in my body. The healing waters and nature setting reset and recharge me, each time I visit. I always spend a full day. The three hour soaks just are not enough.
Please, check it out!
Beautiful place, the view is magical
The pools are great, alternating between cold and hot water made my muscles happy ^^ The massage from Stephan was great too
For better or worse, it’s all natural. Clothing optional, baths could be cleaner, but there’s not many experiences close to Tahoe like what you can get at Sierra Hot Springs.
We were racing Mountain Bikes at Downieville and chose to camp here. The Hot Springs between races was a nice way to stay relaxed.
This is hands down a 5 star place if they would just train their staff to be less depressed. The springs are great, the facilities are nice, the scenery is spectacular. Definitely worth the price!
First things first - your cell phone is not welcome. They have wi-fi, but phones are fairly frowned upon throughout. Nice place, but definitely gotta follow the "rules" to have a good experience. And when people don't comply, it's worth noting that there's a blind-eye. Toddlers and dogs at the no-children/pet pools. Silence is requested most everywhere except indoors. The pools are not easy to access - all involve a healthy walk. Comfortable digs, soul-refreshment is the order of the day.
I had an amazing visit the first time and i keep coming back. It is clothing optional but everyone is friendly and respectful. There are several soaking options plus camping and lodging available. I would recommend a trip here ASAP! You will not be disappointed.
Amazing nature and location. The scenery is stunning. Would love to have a cold water pool closer to the sauna though. A genuine and raw experience for sure. Some people might complain about that it's gross that the water is unfiltered and smelly or that people are naked but that's how it is and you should experience it for what it is. Worth noting is that I'm reviewing it from only a couple of hours at the sauna and hot spring part of the area.
