Stater Bros. Markets reviews
36Worst Experience ever witnessed and it just happened to me. It was a beautiful Sunday evening, It started getting busy at checkout lines, I only had 2 items but got 4th or 5th in line in regular line because only one express lane with at least 7 people in it, I waited in line like 5 minutes for checker to finish one person and the whole time in line I make occassional eye contact with checker to make sure they aren't closing, and couple minutes after she starts checking out next customer he turns and says to all of us she is closed, then he says to person behind him sorry i forgot to tell you she told me she is closed, I look to checker and she says "I'm Closed", I was astonished and said to her thanks for telling me then while I stsrted walking over to the line where the store manager was working the Fat A@$ that she was checking out says "well Im telling you shes closed now", I looked at him at replied so all four rows of customers could here me as they heard him and i just said "Dont F@%$ With Me". I explained to the manager at check out but that was now 4 hours ago and I'm fuming still, I shop there 3-4 nights a week and I don't ever want to see her there again, if the checker can't handle their line then they need to check out and find another job.
First of all, let me start off that I have been a loyal customer at the Cypress location for many years.
Yesterday I came in and wanted to purchase rib eye steak at the $4.99 sale price, 15 pounds for my niece's upcoming birthday. The store was out of stock, so I asked for a raincheck. First time I asked for a raincheck in years. A gentleman wrote it, gave it to the supervisor or manager to approve and I took the raincheck home.
Today, I returned to the store and gave the butcher the rain check so that they can price it appropriately. Here is where the drama began. The staff kept passing the rain check from one person to another and finally to the supervisor / manager in charge. This took about 10-15 minutes. The supervisor, instead of asking me for more details, basically accused me of falsifying the rain check. No clarifying questions, nothing. Just based on the fact that the rain check was written in blue ink and did not include a store #.
I DON'T FREAKING WORK THERE! I have no idea what is required or not required. I am a customer, was given a raincheck and now basically accused of forgery. Come on, if it was a forgery, would it even have the price of the meat as it was priced yesterday? I told the person in charge that I received the rain check the day before, found the nice gentleman who wrote the rain check and he corroborated my story. At this point, the store manager or supervisor has wasted 30 minutes of my time and could only apologize for the error.
Is this how Stater Bros wants to treat loyal customers? Accusing them of forgery, where it's clear the employees themselves are not properly trained and don't follow protocol? Or don't seek to understand before making accusations? Saying sorry doesn't make it right. What kind of scam am I running, paying for $75 dollars worth of meat? Are you kidding me? I spend thousands of dollars a year at this store. An apology does not make it right, being treated in this undignified way is not right.
I want to understand what gives a supervisor this self-righteous attitude to make assumptions without seeking to understand the truth or find out details from customers. Really terrible experience!
Best compromise of cost and quality. Good vegetables, good meat and poultry, wide selection of packaged food at reasonable markup. Limited selection of high end products. I strongly recommend them for families on a tighter budget.
Stater Bros. In Cypress, CA is awesome! Their customer service is the best Ive seen. Maria H.was super helpfull today. She unloaded my basket for me and then I forgot some items and as I was coming back to the registers she's walking towards me and offered her services again. Yep, she rung me up and out the door I went 5 minutes later. They are so nice at this store but today Maria H.won my heart.
I'm very disappointed in their management every time I go to Stater Brothers they are so respectful but now all the sudden they got new management employees they are so disrespectful they threaten me to move my bike outside I've been going here for years I've been walking my bike in there for years regular employees don't even say anything they are so respectful but management I disagree they should be fired I argued with this man for about 10 minutes I don't remember his name but if you're going to say the bikes are not allowed then why is no one told me for about 2 years to move your bike outside and lock it on April 2nd 2018. Like I said this management is very disrespectful and they should not be working at Stater Brothers in Cypress California
Wish a Stater Brothers was closer. The meet choices are the best from the IE Inland Empire to Glendora. Need some on the west side. Marina del Rey. Santa Monica. Redondo Beach areas
Clean store, well stocked shelves, great selection in the produce and meat areas, all around great store.
I find the staff very nice ppl, always very helpful, and the store always very clean and organized, have come here for long time and they all me:) LUCY S.
Decent variety of produces and items at a reasonable price. The lines can get pretty long it seems only a handful of employees are trained to work the cashier.
Porterhouses 4.99 a lb right now they have the best cuts in town.only place I can find cappocolia fresh in the deli. Best stater's ever
Bad experience every time I want to purchase cupcakes or goodies from their bakery. I swear there is always some sort of bug/fly flying around in the display case so gross. Bought the family chicken dinner one time and it was raw so lucky I caught it before my little once ate any of it. Rather shop else where only go there if it's for something minor.
I like this store the prices are reasonable the meat department has great meat and help full it is clean and nice to to shop here at this stater brothers market
Recently bought some steaks and now I'm regretting it. After 6 hours at the ER yesterday, come to find out I have food poisoning. I've seen questionable meat products here before and have just avoided them, but these steaks looked perfectly fine and still made my day a living hell. Never again will I purchase from this store. I'm still home trying to recover from the hellish pain, vomiting and diarrhea. Had to be hooked up to 2 saline bags and given meds.
Very friendly, low prices, excellent quality. My only complaint is, while shopping I sometimes find my favorite item is out of stock, or just not on the shelf.
Only store near me which sells pasture raised eggs! Only brand i buy is vital farms and I'm always pleasantly surprised at their full stock. Wish the vital farms butter hadn't been discontinued but not enough people eat organic in this area.
