As always a beautiful place to go. Unfortunately until the homeless issues are resolved it is becoming less and less of a family friendly place.

Clean, beautiful, plenty of things to do. Pet friendly. My entire family has fun here. If you like out door things this place I recommended this place to you and any one you may know that likes out door activated and sights. What is so clear

Beautiful and relaxing area. Vehicle entrance fee at gate. Bike trail, wildlife, fishing, rafting, horse back trails, etc available. Please remind all users to pick up their litter to preserve this area for future users and to maintain it's natural beauty.

This is the usual starting point for rafting in this area. Parking is not always that close to the river but walking is manageable. Parking is five dollars.

Love to go here and just relax. The best time to go is sunset, its quiet, peaceful and the people that are coming and going are always friendly and nice to talk to.

Easy access to the American River. Ample parking. Foot bridge to cross to the other side. Bike and walking path under the Sunrise bridge to Old Fair Oaks Village.

Beautiful area, I feel lucky to live so close. Sometimes unsupervised kids do dumb things in the park.

Nice place to hike or play in Spring through Fall. The water is cold and there are plenty of places to get in and out of the water and fish as well.

Come here to exercise the dog, and myself, a few times a week. Always beautiful scenery, not too many people and plenty of room to run, sit and enjoy nature. The only bad thing was I got a tick on me once so I'd be on the lookout for that but other than that I will always come here.

Love this spot. Very close to home and looks very far away at the same time. Nice hiking trails and swimming holes.

Great place to walk with your family, a lot of things to do here. The view is really great to take pictures. You can swim in the Rivers during the summer. Bottom line Its a great place to enjoy with you're family. It does it cost 5$ to park but it is worth it.

It's just gorgeous here! I went for a yoga class this morn and a little hike after wards. It doesn't get any better! Nature at it best! Lots of available parking and trails & streams everywhere! Gorgeous, serene and endless!

Everybody in Sacramento should visit weekly. If you can't afford to park inside, leave your car near Magnolia and Pennsylvania and walk down the hill. Or, take the #21, or #28 and get off at the Sunrise and Gold Country stop, walk across the street and into the park.

Nice little park off the American River - picnic, barbeque, and nature walks, with water, a restroom, and lots of bicycle riders passing through but on the bike trail. Think it has a horse shoe pit too.

A nice peaceful rest stop, featuring one of only two drinking fountains on the trail that always has perfectly cold clean tasting water, no matter what time of year.

No fishing signs on one side of bridge but not the other! B. S! I didnt appreciate the way the neighborhood fake blonde hair lady talked down to me, like I'm stupid but she did save me a ticket. Thank you for that.

I went for a walk with Tesla a Husky I was caring for along the American River Parkway. Along the way there were 2 homeless people sleeping on the bike trail. Two bucks and one doe were near the River.
