Sushi wasn't fresh, rice was stale. It's cheap but the quality is so poor you'd be better off going to the supermarket for sushi. And the service is sporadic and forgetful.

This is my all-time favorite sushi place. Somehow they manage to have the best-tasting sushi at roughly half the price of every other sushi place. Only drawback is the long wait due to its popularity, but it's totally worth it.

It may be just a luck of that day, but this one had much better mackerel then Izakaya one two blocks away.

I was so disappointed with the service at this Sushi Stop in Culver City. The Sushi Stop in Pasadena is perfect, but this one is terrible. First thing I had a problem with was the waiters or waitress getting my simple order correct. They charged me for an item I didn't order. My second problem was the atmosphere, which was pretty uptight, like they weren't use to certain guest. My son knocked over one of the sauce trays and one of the men who stood in the middle area preparing the food act as if my son took a dump at the table. His reaction was way over the top, as he points to the spilled sauce on the floor, waving over the waiter to clean it up. The waiters weren't pleasant. The food was fine until my order of the salmon skin salad was served with burnt lage salmon skin pieces. This is not my first time ordering this item that I loved at the Sushi Stop in Pasadena. The presentation of this meal reminded me of a pan of food I burnt and scraped out to throw away. The straw that broke the camal's back was the idea of me leaving a tip. One of the waiters felt as if he should recieve a tip. I do not tip for terrible service. The waiter with the attitude made sure to circle the "tip" portion of my receit. He then pointed to the black tray he returend my change on, indicating a tip. I do not tip bad service, point blank. This location needs to concentrate on service with a smile and making sure they have people's orders corrtect, as well as making sure the guest are pleased.

Pretty good sushi restaurant. The fish quality is good, just like the rice and very cheap. You have to try the Salmon Truffle.

HORRIBLE, my friend got food poisoning from eating here. DO NOT EAT HERE.we tried calling to talk to a manager and they didnt even answer. WORST place ever.

Sushi stop is one of the best sushi places in town. Amazing value. Good service. Ambience is super casual. Cash only!

Delicious and cheap. Keep an eye on your bill though. Sometimes when they are busy they don't get all your rolls to you. Make sure they take them off the bill.
UPDATE: regular Sushi rolls have gotten smaller AND have gone UP in price from 2.95 to $3.25. Also! Not everything on the menu is priced like that anymore. There are more exceptions than regular dishes! Most are $4.50

I wish I found this place sooner. Everything $3.25 on the menu unless noted otherwise. The fish is very fresh and because of the prices, if you go with a group, you can get a bunch of different plates and share them tapas style. I recommend the crunchy rice with spicy tuna on top; the salmon truffle sashimi and the crunchy salmon avocado.

Excellent place. Service was quick and simple. Cash only, but they have an ATM. Everything we had was delicious.

My boyfriend went in to ask for the waiting time and a young lady waitress responded in a very rude tone and simply walked away without asking for our names to add on to the waiting list, the least she could've done was notify us to wait a minute instead of walking away and leaving us unattended

Bad service and so slow.ask for something then they will forget and not bring it.needs fast employees.

Good cheap sushi! Kinda slow getting out of here. Found out my friend is a Russian sleeper though.
