Came in for Severe uti pain, the nurses in the hall watched me attempt to roll myself in a wheelchair to the bathroom, I asked someone to help and they ignored me. I’m 22 and I was scared and in pain crying. Not one person stopped to see if I needed help. Once I finally got myself into the restroom I couldn’t barley walk. I almost fell and there’s no pull cords. NO ONE WOULD OF KNOWN IF I FELL AND HIT MY HEAD. This is the WORST service I have ever received in a hospital. Not one of the 8 people I saw was compassionate other than the registration lady. Even my dr didn’t listen to me when I said I probably need a different anti biotic cause I’ve taken that same one so many times it’s not working. Now I have to go back in cause my symptoms are way worse, it turned into a kidney infection and possibly have infection in my blood due to symptoms advise nurse said. I understand the staff are very drained due to Covid but you are still dealing with people who need compassion and care. That’s your job. They treated me like I was some sort of nut case because I was crying hysterically in pain, as a medical professional myself, I would never recommend going here unless you ABSOLUTELY have no other choice.

From what I was told by multiple hospital employees, it is my understanding that the hospital has no guidelines for charging their patients, it is solely based on whatever they feel like charging.

I was involved in a car accident and went to this Emergency Department. When called back, I sat in the hallway and had different people ask repetitive questions about my accident and how I feel. They gave me an ice pack for my leg, I was sitting for hours. After asking questions and feeling my leg, they said it was most likely just hematoma, then took a few scans of my leg. Sitting in the hallway, I was given a general printout of what hematoma is, and told to put ice on it. I was not given a prescription for anything.

My hospital bill is thousands of dollars even after health insurance. I looked online to see if the hospital had a chart for how their services are charged, something similar to the price chart for a doctor’s office visit. I couldn’t find anything so I called to see why I was charged so much for minimal treatment. I was told I should have called the hospital before coming in to know what I would be charged. Then I was given the option to talk to their billing dispute team. A letter was sent to me saying I was properly charged for my Level 4 visit.

I emailed the billing department and never was sent a response, so I called. I was asked for my account number and I respectfully declined. I called asking how much it would be if I came in after a car accident. I asked if there was a guideline to determine pricing and what each guideline was for each coding level (I was put as a Level 4). The employee said it depends on severity but that I would need to be transferred to the Pre-registration team. Instead of being transferred, she got back on the line after speaking with them and said there are no estimates over the phone. She said coders determine the price usually a day after. Pricing is based on customary care and on average there is no way to determine price. I asked how the coders determine price. Her voice went up a few octaves saying it is based off of whatever the doctor feels is necessary to save your life. I asked for clarification that there is nothing used to determine how everyone is priced. I couldn’t believe it so I asked if I could speak to a supervisor. I was told that without an account number she couldn’t transfer me.

Please be careful, if there are no guidelines used, then it is reasonable to think that pricing can be determined based on age or race or whatever information it is that the coders may have.

The worse experience ever. My son who is serving our country was given so poor service he had to go to another ER farther away. Shame on you Dr. Natler

I was in er for a fall. I sat in the lobby for hours. I could barely walk had only one arm to use cos my shoulder was just operated on and they did not allow anyone to stay with you. So I had to use the bathroom and I had to try to wheel myself all the way there, no one bothered to help. I was literally crying trying to get there and still no one even offered to help. Very distasteful and lack of concern or compassion.

Please do NOT go this facility if you need any type of pain relief. They treat every single patient as if they have drug seeking behaviors. I am actually a medical professional my self and have taken countless classes on how to avoid abuse in these types of facilities - and UNDER medicating patients who are are in your care is considered to be a form of abuse. My wife went to this facility secondary to a kidney infection and They let her go with no pain medication for the 4 hours she was there. Upon leaving they discharged her with Only antibiotics; Which she had already stated she has resistance to. My wife could barely even walk because of the infection in her Kidneys. We came back to this facility again because her symptoms only worsened throughout the week. They sent her back home - again with no pain medication. We gave up hope with Sutter and finally turned to Kaiser Emergency where they are now treating her for possible sepsis symptoms or Meningitis. If you don’t recognize those names - they are both illnesses that can be caused by an infection that has worsened and spread through out the blood or to the head. These were all symptoms that were not present at the beginning of this week when we first went to sutter. I am beyond livid and am truly disappointed in the The staff at Sutter Emergency. They were both, irresponsible and negligent in their care of my wife. I’m saddened that I had to see this happen to someone I love so much. Please save yourself or the ones you love and find a better facility.

My wife came here with symptoms of a stroke. As a high risk patient she had not been seen after 4 hours of waiting. We kept being relocated, but never seen by a doctor, np or pa. We then decided to leave to go to another ER. It was a Saturday and it was swamped with drunks and druggies, but to not even be seen with really dangerous symptoms is shocking. We even talked to a nurse on the phone before we went in and she said to call 911 immediately and that my wife's symptoms were very worrying.
We will report this to the CDPH. Thanks for providing the contact.

I have not been impressed with the cleanliness or layout of the Emergency Department at Sutter Roseville. The seating is awkward for people in wheelchairs, the bathrooms are dirty, and the hallways and floors look unkempt. Trash on the floors, peeling wallpaper, scuff mark's, etc. I work in a clinic which has set my standard for a health care facility and Sutter Roseville ED doesnt cut it. As for services, they are on par with long wait times and the staff is hit or miss.

I was seen quickly (for a migraine that I had for 4 days straight, loss of feeling in my hands etc.and high bp) but when I was seen by the doctor I was belittled and interrupted multiple times when trying to explain what was wrong. This er is one of the worst, I had a bad experience before but not one as bad as this. I wish they would get their act together, or close down completely.

If I could leave zero stars I would. The absence of professionalism is astounding. I cannot believe how condescending a medical professional can be. The fact that I was treated like a moron for my choice to not take birth control was absolutely beyond me. Especially when it had nothing to do with why I was even at the emergency room in the first place. This place is trash and I am utterly disappointed in Sutter.

They care about the patient. They have always respected my requests, always given me attention and the doctors and nurses work hard. I see it, I feel it. My go to ER. I quality of care given trumps everything else. I am not a Sutter health pt, but the ER of my well known and good hospital doesn’t have similar quality care so when I need to go the ER always choose Sutter. Thank you.

My grandma has pneumonia and I'm glad she's being taken of but when I went to visit her, the nurse was incredibly rude to me. I asked how my grandma was doing and she said "she's sick". Immediately I felt unwelcome. Every question I had, she responded like I was an idiot. I wish I got her name. She treated me with no respect whatsoever. Honestly, looking at the reviews, it looks like this is a common problem at this hospital.

Their Network went down which had a domino effect on everything down to the way they handled patients. We've been there 4 hours for a 18 month old whom has had very little water or food in 4 days and has also not had a BM either in that time, and all they have given him is Tylenol which we could've and would've given him and anti-nausea. Both are diuretics. While it's been another hour and we're still waiting for a bed for IV fluids.

I was my Mother's caretaker for the last 4yrs of her life. During this time my Mother was seen several times in ER and we were both very satisfied with the care she received. All the drs and nurses were very caring, sweet and kind to her, and for that I am forever grateful. It's a very busy ER.you'll be there a few hours so bring your cell phone charger. Thank you Sutter Roseville ER for the excellent care you provided my Mother!

This doctor should be given negative stars if possible. He treats patients with disregard. He would not further look into a heart condition that my girlfriend was having. He told her to walk out and knowing that she needed a wheelchair, was not given one. She walked about 20 steps, fainted in front of him and several other doctors and nurses in the Emergency Room and they just stood there and did nothing. I feel sorry for the patients of this emergency room, especially of Dr. Dutton's, because they will not recieve any treatment here.
