Great variety of gardens on site. We visited the desert gardens, Japanese garden, Chinese garden, children's garden and the American and European art galleries. Only the American gallery was unimpressive, but still it it was good escape from the extreme heat that day. I don't much care for Los Angeles as a city to visit, but a few specific places like this one, were great.

This place deserves 5 stars without question, all the effort that goes into the gardens- it's absolutely magnificent and there is something for everyone. There is a good variety onsite cafes and restaurants are top quality and the cleanliness of the site is excellent. We enjoyed homemade icecream which was the best I've had since arriving in LA. The library collections are very interesting- you will not get bored.

This is a fabulous place to explore. The gardens are incredible - interesting even for my teenagers - and when you get hot, go inside the beautiful buildings and look at the art. Do not miss the desert garden - I would have skipped that one but the different types of cacti are amazing and unusual.

Beautiful spaces to walk and admire natural and cultivated splendor. Each garden has unique qualities to experience and enjoy.

How have I not heard of this place since I’ve been in Los Angeles for the last 6 years. This place beats all the art/garden places in L. A.by far. This is an all day event, Come here when it opens. Bring snacks and lots of water. (The food is a bit pricey here but was tasty) also to enter on the week days- $25 weekends- $30 per adult.
