The Mad Greek Cafe reviews
45I love this place however I stop by this place is closed do to the Bellona virus it's a bunch of Bologna
I gave it a midway star because it was closed and I couldn't try it out. But the exterior looked pretty cool. Maybe next time period
I've been coming here for years!
Maybe it's nostalgic? Maybe when I'm here I'm extra hungry? Maybe it's the worn furniture & decor. Maybe the not so nice service? Maybe the super sexy town of Baker does something to me? Who the heck knows? !? !? !
My experiences here have been positive and the zucchini fries are always my favorite. This place also makes a homemade ranch that's out of control delicious & its like a tzatziki but not. I also always order the exact same thing ~ gyro with rice. It's simple yet flavorful.
Everything about this place screams ~ help me. It needs a makeover big time and the people who work here aren't exactly the friendliest. But think about it, maybe living in Baker or anywhere near it isn't exactly fun & exciting.
I still enjoy this place for what it is & it's difficult not to stop when passing by.
Love this place. Wish you were open so we can stop by home to California on Monday 10/12. I’m really upset about this
Food is really good. Best gyro I have had in awhile. One star off just cuz the wait can be pretty long, so if you're in a hurry to get somewhere you may want to skip. I think our order of a burger, fries & gyro w/ rice took about 30+ minutes to come out (we went around 1: 30 - 2 pm and it was packed). Bathrooms are decent and there is plenty of seating! Also super close to alien jerky so it makes for a nice pit stop on this long stretch of road. If you just want a strawberry shake though, it'll come out really quick
I stop by The Mad Greek Cafe every time we go to Vegas and back. They have the best Gyros and Breakfast Burritos and of course the service is awesome! Will be going back!
I always like stopping in this place they have the best food and I love lamb. Always a pleasant experience here, good to see the same faces when visiting this restaurant, gives it a family type atmosphere.
They keep the place clean and orderly. There are also several bakery items, beer and specialty fruit drinks available.
Oh My goodness finally a real gyro that tastes like a gyro should taste. I am from back east originally and I can not tell you how excited I am to find this place. On our way to Vegas we stopped her and needless to say their gyros are fantastic, real greek gyros and other good greek food. I made my group stop on our way back as well and will be stopping from now on every time we go to vegas. You must try this place
Every time I drive by this place I stop, even if its 6 am I'm ordering the gyros they are absolutely the best!
It's an unusual place to find a Greek shrine/ restaurant. They have Greek, American, and Mexican meals and pastries. It's worth a visit inside even if you don't purchase much. If you're a commercial driver, you get a discount.
Great Greek-style food, and very welcoming! I wasn't that hungry befor eI came here, but I still ate more than I usually do! Their milkshakes are awesome!
Best gyros I have had so far. I go out of my way to come buy here when ever I can to get a bite. It’s expensive but worth it because it is just that good.
I travel an extra 60 miles when passing by the area just to eat here. Also you might want to try there small Greek salad with your gyro it is not small at all and is really good as well.
They can have long lines at times but food is so good service is so so not to bad. But you do not come for the service you come for the food!
You must stop here if your near they ha e never dissapointed me you will love it, try the watermelon milkshake
Excellent food! Very tasty meat and rice. They had lots of options for food, not just the standard gyro and shawarma. Impressed with the wide range of desserts and bread-stuffed items. Bathrooms were horrible though. Did not feel clean at all.
They really do habe the best gyro sandwich! Fried mushrooms rock, too! And reallllly good cookies! Oh, and clean bathrooms, which are always good on this long, lonely stretch.
Stopped here on the way back from CES. We ordered the chicken gyro with fries, vegetarian quesadilla, and world famous strawberry shake.
Chicken gyro was cold and the chicken was dry and a little flavorless. The only reason I am giving this two stars is because the fries were pretty dang good!
The vegetarian quesadilla had mushrooms and spinach in it which turned the whole thing into a wet mushy mess. It wasn't edible.
The shake tastes exactly how a strawberry air freshener from the car wash smells. We tossed out the large shake after both sampling it.
My husband and I literally stop here every time we drive through Baker. The gyros are delicious and the strawberry milkshakes are worth all of the hype. I wish there were more Mad Greeks everywhere so that I could eat there all the time.
It used to be great. Now it's fair to poor. The food is just meh. The place feels sticky, old and dirty. The bathrooms were disgusting. If you're thinking of a spot on the road to stop and drop anchor, don't do it. It wont work out well.
We used to stop at The Mad Greek Cafe ebrru time that we visit Las Vegas. The strawberry milkshake or the ice cream was a must. During this last visit, our experience was terrible. First of all, the fat smell/odor was very unpleasant. It get impregnated on the clothing that you are wearing. We ask for the fry zucchini. It was not only greasy but COLD. We ordered a latte. Expensive and milky. The Greek salad was Ok. It seems that the new "administration" discovered not only the existence of a vegetable called onion but also that it is one of the components of the Greek salad. It came with tons of it. Last time to visit unless that we need to use the restroom
A little hidden roadside gem, in baker. I always stop in to have one of them delicious gyros on the way to Vegas and on the way home. Great service and great food thanks guys!
