The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey reviews
23So in love with this hotel! Hotel staff is so professional but extremely friendly. Just instantly you are greeted and everything is perfect from that moment on. Excellent rooms, beautiful views. Restaurant is delicious also! Second stay here and we will be back again.
To all retired military personnel…. Beware. They treat veterans extremely poorly and do not not honor any military rates, even though the terms and conditions of the app when booking say nothing of requiring active duty ID cards. I was turned away when trying to check in and felt treated like a second class citizen.
The hotel is amazing for they have complete room facilities and the good scents really comfy! Highly recommended!
The staff here is A+ through and through. If staying at the hotel - do your best to book something on the marina side. If you’re a light sleeper, you may not want to sleep with your balcony door open as the seals barking in Marina del Rey can be quite chatty early in the morning and late at night.
My stay was excellent despite the reason for my visit! The customer service was spectacular especially at the restaurant! First day I was there I sat inside for breakfast. Next two nights I sat out side. What really made my heart smile was the over the top customer service from Jessica Lange! I was waiting to be seated, asked if there was outside seating. There was. It was a Friday night and I was planning to listen to Brian Culbertson with my AirPods and realized I had not charged them. I was randomly talking to Jessica about my Fridays. She offered to see if she could get my AirPods charged, but I didn’t have the cord/cable. She said at least 20% charged. She came back with them and it wasn’t enough. Well Jessica went to get me some AirPods from the gift shop
I could not believe she went out of her way. I was beside myself that she took the time to do that! They needed to be charged since they were still in the package, so I couldn’t use them. The fact that she tried to help me continue my Friday night ritual far away from home was just beyond me. I was speechless! She did not have to do all of that, but she did! I really don’t know WHAT to say!
Now the waitress, I can’t remember her first name (Jennifer?) last name Haering. How I know the last name? Well she asked what was I listening to and I told her. I told her my Friday nights listening to Brian Culbertson. She says “omg my mom listened to that every Friday, she walks around the house singing it’s Friday night, it’s Friday night! ” That was the connection!
My first glass of wine. She brought out, I think it was a house red, not so great! Then she brought out Justin Cabernets omg it was excellent! Mrs Haering customer service was superb. Then there was Stephanie the next evening! Soft spoken but excellent customer service. I had a bottle of wine in my room but no way of opening it. She brought me a wine glass and wine bottle opener and she gave me a cream brûlée and glass of wine, considering I was in LA for a funeral. I was so overwhelmed with grace and emotions. They really didn’t have to go out of their way! I’m so impressed and this location will def be my first choice when visiting again in happier times! Thanks for excellent service and going about be and beyond! Excellent service was enough but you ladies exceeded excellence! I didn’t mention anything about the food! It was delicious! Nor the room. The Avocado toast, the scallops, the French toast (one serving is enough to share)!
The only dish I didn’t really care for was the seafood sliders (crab?). The bed was comfortable, towels not what I expected from top notch hotel. The room was kinda like a new holiday Inn express but with comfortable a bed and nice bed linen. Maybe because I was in one of the smaller rooms, Could be because I was in a smaller room, but for the money I was expecting a little bit more. The excellent customer service outweighed all of that! I will definitely visit again!
Broke my ankle a few weeks ago. The staff could not have been more accommodating, proactively engaging in all facets of my four day stay for a conference.
Excellent facilities, banquet food was great, nice views over looking the marina. Staff is helpful and enthusiastic.
The brunch buffet is amazing! Get a custom made omelette. Also be sure to try the fresh squeezed orange juice.
Had a family room booked. Needed a crib and not only did they set our room up with a crib, they set up a white noise machine also. It really helped get our baby to sleep.
Elegant and standard. Perfect service at every level. Well kept property. I love the view of the marina. I could people watch from my room for days I’m sure.
Lovely hotel with great staff, wonderful rooms, food and views over the marina. Great proximity to Venice and Abbott St.
Beautiful hotel with a view. Gracious, friendly, and accommodating staff. Great place for meetings or celebrations!
Interiors and lobby are gorgeous. Beds are so comfortable and I love the turn-down service. The swimming pool is probably the best feature - everyone told me how great it was and it didn't disappoint.
Ritz quality and service despite a busy environment and weddings and events almost every day. There is not much immediately around the hotel, but it’s a quick drive to Venice Beach and Abbot Kinney Blvd. Enjoy the sun and the pool and spa if you can.
Charming hotel, really nice view of the boats in the marina. Easy drive or cab over to the Santa Monica Pier area. Room Service was quick. Just wish the bathroom was a bit nicer.
Consistently dismal. Not as advertised. Say one thing and don't complete. Sad. Not what the Ritz is or should be about.
This property understands hospitality didn't just mean friendly and attentive service. They took hospitality to the next level starting with the welcome greeting during check-in through turn-down service all the way to the amazing service in their bar, restaurant and the beautiful terrace.
Amazing and classy venue.as the Ambassador of our churches First ladies health initiative
We felt like royalty on that day. The valet parking was covered by the Walgreens Reps the parking attendants were so professional. The ballroom was exquisitely decorated the food was delicious
And the servers were great. Very classy location. You're gonna love everything.
Enjoy
The valet attendant was kind of a jerk. He complained that people were putting on their seatbelts and that we weren't driving away immediately. I guess he wants everyone to fly out of the windshield.
This is the second time we stayed here, previously was three years ago. This was for a meeting of three days. The hotel is very nice, very well maintained. Rooms are spacious. Request for a high floor for a better view. One issue. If you drive. Only valet parking at $42 per night. If you want to save, there is a municipal parking lot across the street at $5 per night. Unfortunately that lot is being repaired so if you still want to save (as I did), you can drive down about half a mile where a similar lot is available. Also for$5 per night. From there you can walk back on the boardwalk which incidentally is a very pleasant walk
