The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara

We were upgraded to a beautiful room looking out at the ocean. My husband and I had the best 4 nights there. It's not far from downtown Santa Barbara and Montecito to explore during the day.

Any time I make it out here or feels like an island of its own. The grounds are pristine. It has a quant village like feel the way the buildings are set up. But the reason this isn't really a go to is the beach although beautiful, it's often coder and more windy.

The Spanish architecture of this hotel felt I was in Spain for a moment. I was in Villa 18 and the room I stayed in had the overlooking view of the pacific ocean and a fireplace inside my room brought in a refreshing ambiance. It was truly amazing during my stayed and I would also add warm staff.

Great Ritz experience. Been a few times, and always enjoy! Great service. Great spa. Great pools (adult pool too). Essentially a private beach and nature walk. The resort is private, and an escape from the rest of the area. Sometimes this leaves you with the hotel as your only close dining option.but SB is a quick drive away! Beautiful rooms and grounds.

It was an amazing experience, maybe the bed could of been softer but the experience and customer service was wonderful.

Such an amazing relaxing staycation! We had a wonderful time staying at the Bacara over the New Year’s weekend! Gorgeous well manicured property with friendly helpful staff. Felt like a COVID safe environment with 3 hour pool reservations, 1 hour tennis court reservations, easy and delicious take away food, and all staff and guests with masks. We are both healthcare providers and appreciate the hospitality and relaxing environment. Also, a special thank you to Kavita for taking extra special care of us.

Excellent service. Arrived late and checked out early. Joe the Valet was super helpful and the woman at the front desk was equally strong.

Bistro restaurant leaves something to be desired. Recommend going elsewhere. Fabulous staff service. Best I've seen.

Absolutely beautiful Hotel. Service is flawless and the staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable.

Rooms were nice and staff even nicer. The property provides a lot of activities for both young and old. The beach itself is not really much to look at, nevertheless swim in, but the pools are! Nothing much to add other than it's the freaking Ritz-Carlton!

Beautiful property, great views, excellent service. Pricey as expected being a Ritz-Carlton. Only downside is the naturally occurring tar/oil on the beach, and sometimes you can smell oil in the air.

Attended my friends wedding held on the beach, and then had lunch at the restaurant. The entire experience was totally amazing.

A very nice resort but I find it isolated and prefer being in downtown Santa Barbara. But if you like resorts.

Would actually give this resort 3.5 stars. Nice view of the ocean from our room and patio. Like that there is no carpet in the room anywhere. Unfortunately lots of ants and terrible sewer smell coming from the shower.

A blast! Wined and dined at Angel Oak with my hubby. Walked the beach at moonlight. Our room was amazing. Definitely will again very soon

The Ritz is a overall a very nice, pleasant place. Very spacious and expansive with several pools and direct access to the beach. The club lounge, which has food and drinks, is simply a wonderful addition to the hotel. I found myself going back to the lounge several times throughout the day as they rotate different platters of food out.

Lovely Oceanside setting and stunning architecture. Restaurant service was less than stellar and don't plan on visiting the beach here. It's totally rocky and the naturally occurring tar in the sand was a turn-off for us. As you would expect, the staff is fabulously helpful. But overall I think the resort is due a refresh!

Was a great venue for a work celebration. The food was excellent and the staff was very friendly and attentive.
