I sold my car at here and it was a great experience overall. We were greeted by staff and didn't wait for a very long period of time until we were helped. Ling helped us through the process and was very polite and helpful. She offered to drop us off at our home after we made the decision to sold our car at the spot and helped made it very easy for us to receive our check. I really recommend Ling for help.

Thrifty is a solid option for car rental in San Francisco. They often have the best prices and service is good in the office. Candy helped me out last time and was great! Only missing a star because the cars often have scratches and dents, but this is expected when using Hertz’s discount brand. If you’re cautious like me, expect to spend a few minutes taking photos of the car prior to leaving the garage. Would definitely rent again.

Watch out. This company will try to scam you when you return the car. They charged me after the fact for a full tank of gas, even though I have receipt of my gas fill-up, and photo evidence of the fuel gauge. Such a hassle getting my money back from them. Word from the wise. Go with a different company.

This place is a scam. They overbook the cars and then make you wait indefinitely. This happened to me every time I rented from there.

We rented a small SUV from Priceline. We have never has any problems with our 2 large luggage. They have us a Toyota CHR. The vehicle is so compact that there barely and room on the trunk. I went back to the counter and spoke to the same man (Tony I think) who originally did my reservation because he asked how many people and how many luggage and the size of the luggage so he should know that it wasn't going to fit but still gave me that vehicle. He said if it doesn't fit come back and I will help you with another vehicle. I went back his help consisted in selling an upgrade. He called the manager and he said he fulfilled the agreement. I refuse to pay for an upgrade because inventory is low. Since I refused he got sarcastic and didn't want to hear it anymore got up and left to another room and let me standing in the counter. I went to see the manager at the pick up area and said I got what I rented. I understand it was x mas eve and they were low but he didn't make an effort. After talking to him several times he said wait for a bit let me see what I can do. So we waited for more than 1 hour after several time going up to him his final answer was sorry there is nothing.i can do but yet he was willing to sell me an upgrade to what would consider it was a down grade. In front of me I saw he changed another person's vehicle without hesitation So bottom line they don't care for clients sat only for $$$. I left not happy in the CHR with one of the luggage coming from the trunk to the back seat super uncomfortable and luggage obstructing the back view completely. Everytime someone came they would offer to sell them.upgrades and try to sell them all sorts of things. They are all about the $$$$$$! Follow me on IG @Margaritasandreviews

IT APPEARS THAT THEY REGULARLY BOOK CARS THAT THEY END UP NOT HAVING. I PAID FOR A CAR AND SHOWED UP TO GET IT. I RENTED IT FOR 9: 30AM BUT THEY SAID "WE ARE ALL OUT OF CARS. " THEY WERE RUDE AND UGLY ABOUT IT. I FINALLY GOT A CAR AT 2: 30PM! WE HAD A PLAN TO DRIVE TO LOS ANGELES DOWN THE PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY. CAN'T DO THAT WHEN ITS DARK SO IT PUT US WAAAY BEHIND SCHEDULE. HAD TO SLEEP IN A ROACH MOTEL CUZ NO AVAILABILITY. I AM LIVID. AND THEY WERE TERRIBLE ABOUT IT. THEY DIDN'T CARE AT ALL.

It’s amazing that a place like this can stay in business. They’re a rental car place that does not seem to have cars even when you have a reservation.

And it’s clear that the people who work here don’t care about customer service. Not even an apology, because I guess that’s the business model.

Avoid if you can.

I went to SFO rental with a reservation, and they refused to apply the price given at reservation time. I will never rent there again.

Big thanks to Edgar and Peter! The staff were very patient and accommodating in allowing us to select a comfortable car even after 3 times of printing the paperwork for the vehicles.

Useless. Can I give negative stars. My car was booked for 10: 00. It’s now 12: 20 and am no closer to be given a car. Worse rental experience I have ever had.

Erst 20 min warten, dann Fahrzeug Übergabe in 3 min. Keine Infos zum Fahrzeug, kein Übergabe Protokoll. Das Auto selber top, fast neu.

Never answered the phone! Was informed that a 7pm return was acceptable - but they are closed and no way to leave vehicle.terrible service - dollar was pleasant -

Finger weg, Betrügerbande!
Thrifty Car Rental lässt sich Mautgebühren vervielfachen und nennt das administration fees. Die Golden Gate passieren kostete uns mit einem Auto von thrifty cars $70.
Eine "Navisystem" ist ein 10 Jahre altes Handy mit schlechtem Empfang und ist damit komplett nutzlos.

In and out quickly. Picked up a car at 7am. I was greeted by Mohammed with a smile. I am part of the blue Chip program (free to sign up) he had me in my car in less than 10 minutes. Return was as easy as driving in. Best of all no extra fees unlike some of their competitors. Great value for a one day rental

You can only pickup and drop off cars during their open hours which is pretty inconvenient since their garage is open all the time. They also never answer their phone. When you return the car, they charged it to the card I used to deposit which is not what they told us originally. Then I had to go upstairs and have the lady at the desk change it. Worst service I've ever dealt with in car rental service

Got the car we wanted, brand new practically, colour and all but that was by chance. No messing about with anything, can't fault them. Heighly recommend.

Friendly staff and the car was good. However, the car wasn't ready when I arrived, so I had to wait for 20 minutes while they finished washing it. They said if it took too long to wash, they had a full size, but I'd have to pay more - I wasn't too impressed with that.

It's been 2 hours and STILL waiting on my car. Not staffed properly and zero concern for customer satisfaction. If you have ANY other option for transportation, take it.
