Torrey Pines Gliderport reviews
39Really intense hike on the left side really steep stairs on the right side. Either way you end up at a nice beach perfect seclusion from the traffic. However there are tooo many creeps on the nude side. If you are at a nude beach please leave people alone. Don't invade their privacy.
Good time for relaxing watching or go for a paid tour on a parasailing. My 6 yr old will go next time up.
Great experience! I imagine this is the closet I will ever come to feeling like a bird.
Make sure to watch the winds it does need a specific wind speed to go but you can always call to make sure they are flying. Not an opportunity to pass up. Would do it again in a heart beat.
This place is unmatched in views, quiet natural setting and underdevelopment. Let's hope it always stays this way! Also, the gliderport serves food from an off the grid cooler and solar powered kitchen! Love it! The burritos are amazingly filling, and you can eat them on the back porch while watching hawks and hanggliders.too cool.
Fun place to come see gliders take off even if you aren't one of them. There's a small cafe that offers light fare while enjoying the views. Bonus surprise was seeing trained Falcon's flying from ine person to another.
Awesome place to grab a drink and hang out while watching the paragliders and hang gliders sore over the coast!
We stopped through this place thinking it was a beach and it is but there is an extremely long pathway going down to the beach and we are from Texas I was scared out of my mind looking down but it was beautiful people were walking up the pathway holding surfboards and ice chest I couldn't even navigate the pathway without slipping down it you Californians are crazy
Just spent a enjoyable afternoon here watching hang gliders and listening to good music with a live band! Fun time!
Breathtaking views, not too crowded, good food and an exhilarating paragliding experience for one of my friends
It was a windy day when we visited so unfortunately there were no gliders to watch but the scenery was still beautiful. With plenty of seating areas including a nice deck, it was a nice place to just relax before making our way to our next destination.
The view is amazing and so beautiful. My 11 year old daughter went paragliding and she had a wonderful time. It was pretty safe and we had awesome views of her paragliding. The area is goegeous and very picturesque overlooking the beach. It's well worth it if you want to do it. We planned on doing it as a family but due to low winds only my daughter was able to do it. The low winds only allow up to a certain weight.
They kept me up in the air and alive, so they're the best. Seriously amazing rush and beautiful views. Well worth it.
Awesome experience paragliding! Everyone was so great. The registration process was smooth. The pilots were awesome.
Fun to watch people train to make the jump. Plenty of places to sit and there is a concession/lunch place.
The parking is hard to find. We parked on the street. The parking is free. The views are beautiful. The trails are excellent. We watched the glider at the balcony of the restaurant. It was free. The visitors weren’t allowed on the glider yard.
Very fun watching them takeoff and land. Really great little restaurant. They had bbq burgers the day we were there and live music.
This is a great place to have lunch, the view is excellent and the sandwiches are delicious! The pilots are always welcoming and if your ready to jump off the cliff, so are they! Very professional and a great experience! Definitely will return!
Beautiful landscapes and activities, relaxing environment ideal to share with friends family and couple
