Trader Joe's, San Carlos CA

Friendly staff and a good selection of fresh produce, including fresh herbs in a pot, unique grocery items, and pleasant decor. The downsides are: smaller shop which can get very crowded so it's best to avoid busy times. Also, as stores don't allow bagging your purchase in your own bag, Trader Joe's set up a table for bagging your items outside. While it's a nice touch, it's not always easy to locate this table (it may be in the parking lot and cars may be blocking it from view) so ask the staff. Lastly, the grocery here is on the pricier side compared to e.g. Grocery Outlet.

Short line to enter was held by employees fo 15' despite equal quantity of shoppers left already: looked like they enjoyed feeling their power over customers for a while, at least.

Well managed entry process, store is very spacious and the crowd control helps a lot. Dedicated parking lot. Staff is very friendly!

Normal Trader Joe’s, everything is awesome! There’s about 30 parking spots and gets fairly full in the evenings

Great selection of Organic produce, fish, beef, poultry, cheeses, dips, spreads and sauces for every occasion. Breads, whole wheat pastas, frozen entrees, desserts, beverages, alcohol and much much more. Head towards the back of the store close to the refrigerated dairy section and grab some complimentary fresh coffee or the sample snack of the day. Enjoy a helpful staff and friendly crowd of customers. Don't pass up the great deals on Wine!

I always enjoy shopping here. Excellent prices and a very busy and helpful staff make this location a most pleasant experience.

Quick lunch and healthy this is where you must stop. Salads are delicious. For snack I prefer dried fruit with no sugar. If I want a chocolate there are plenty sugar free affordable ones to choose from that are creamy and tasty. The plantain chips taste soooooo good I recommend them. Tou cant go wrong and you can always ask their friendly staff.

Good prices. Certain items are good, others not different much. Could not do all my grocery shopping here, because not a complete inventory of what I need, but for items i do need prices are good.

Nice having it in a parking lot with just them and Walgreens. Usually I feel like I am battling hundreds of people in large shopping centers to gain access to a Trader Joe's.

I enjoy shopping at Trader Joe’s. This store had the usual free coffee and snack samples plus clean bathrooms for customer use. The TJ salads are great and did I mention the delicious, tangy Tangerine Juice?

Good place to shop prices aren't bad but food is always expensive.
They're always stocking the shelves and their employees are always getting in your way kind of annoying

The easy part is that it's a Trader Joe's just like the rest of them. This one, however, loses a star for the crummy parking lot.

I’ve been shopping here for a while and I must say the staff is wonderful especially Julianne who has helped me countless of times in checkout. I always seem to run into her when I go.

One of my favorite Trader Joe's stores of all time. Staff is fantastic. Too bad Curtis retired. He will be missed.

Interesting food items, nice store layout, good and different beer selection. Always go for the Trader Joe seasonal 22oz beer, especially the holiday one. Made by a big name brewery, they are priced at about half what you would pay elsewhere for the quality. There are other beers here also, that you just won't find at the other stores.

I always have a good experience at TJ's in San Carlos. I really like that it's smaller than most grocery stores. Friendly employees. Bad parking.

Great store with good prices on high quality food. Just be ready to resist impulse buys (checker suggested 2 extra items for me and even opened a package of snacks for me to try.).

This location is open till 10. Parking is plentiful. I feel much more comfortable shopping here than the other TJ closer to my home.

This location can get pretty busy. The parking can be a challenge during peak hours. The older lady who does the demo food is a little cranky. The store is good about their stock.
