Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort: Tower Park reviews
39Not badbut not worth the price. Plus they are doing construction right now that starts at about 7am. Quiet times are not followed nor is the staff very helpful. Many other places I would rather stay for two or three nights for the same price as one night here.
It was a nice stay for the day but while we were there, there was a lot of bathroom indents in the pools. Its a nice place for a weekend vacation
My family and I had fun and enjoyed it. But there are a lot of things they can improve on and work on (like organization). There were also a few things we disliked and expected for the amount of money that we paid.
Definitely a very fun family-oriented place to go. It's organized well-run and the staff is great. Thanks for the great time.
The place was great every thing was good every thing one problem was if u wanted a ball u would have to give your i.d. Every thing else was good dorms were nice they were clean it was great in general. Lol.
If I could give this place a zero I would we were there in April construction everywhere and we weren't notified until we arrive after a six-hour drive with our grandchildren I left a message & no one ever return my call
Nice grounds. Walked around hoping to stay someday. Lots of shade and trees which is great since it gets so hot here. The sites are not cheap though! I wouldn’t refer to this as being coastal as their description states. This is inland waterways far from the coast. If you’re coming by motor yacht it’s a long two day trip from the bay! For those from out of state, you will not see the ocean from here.
Yogi Has a boat launch, camper space with water and sewer huck-up with a fire pit close by. There a play ground, swimming pool with warming pool and open jumping house and other fun activities for the family plus rental cabins small, medium and large for rent plus golf cart rentals. They need more trash cans and and give you more information when you enter the park.
It's a family friendly environment with mini golf, 2 sets of swimming pools and hot tubs, along with a volleyball court, gaga pit, and playground area. At night, there is an outdoor later tag arena, a pavilion for daily activities, with an outdoor theater area and MORE. Coming soon in July 9,2018 they will be introducing a water park, lazy river, and a Boo Boo Lagoon with Cindy bears Oasis. Yogi Bear Park is pet friendly and they welcome all guests to enjoy the park at their leisure.
My whole experience was ruined by a lady at the desk telling me that another employee broke a rule and it was all my fault and I was in the wrong. So 1 star until they finish the upgraded and we go back for a tour. Time will tell.
We spent memorial day weekend here with our kids. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The campground was very clean. The general store has anything you may have forgotten, expect to pay a little more than your normal store. They had a lot of activities planned for kids all weekend. They ate currently finishing up the lazy river and water slides. Once they are done we'll definitely be back.
This place might be nice when the construction is complete, but until then, all I heard and saw were trucks and construction noise. They really should be charging substantial discounted rates (at least 50%) during this construction phase. There was no place for us to sit outside during the trip, and we wouldn't have wanted to with the noise and view. I don't recommend coming here until all construction is complete.
We stayed at this campground on April 9 2018 as we have camped at other Yogi Bear sites only to be extremely disappointed with the park. Upon check in we were advised that there was construction but that was not the concern. The site and picnic table had not been maintained and we should have requested a refund upon arrival. Never to stay at a Yogi Bear Campsite again.
We had a fun time over Memorial Day weekend and can't wait for the water park and lazy river to open!
This place is awesome. It is "Kid Friendly, " very shady. Clean and nice and quiet at night. Construction was going on to make preparations of upgrades for the summer. It wasn't too bad at all.
The brand new restaurant was awesome. Delicious food beautifully presented, very nice and accommodating staff, and it was not their grand opening yet!
Never coming here again. We wanted to spend time as a family here and then have 8 of us sleep here, but we were literally told "no visitors"; you can't even enjoy the place unless you're camping. No form of admission whatsoever unless you're camping. And they nickle and dime you for every little thing. Check in is 4pm, which is very late, but early check in is an extra $25? And the 8 person cabin is $60 more. We ended up paying $500 so a small portion of our family could stay two nights and we had to find something else to do together. And they won't give a refund upon discovering this uncommunicated information. Absolutely ridiculous and horrible unhelpful customer service. Waste of time and money!
Also, they have literally said in response to multiple reviews that they upcharge so much so they can afford renovations. Seriously? That's just plain wrong. Charge a fair price so more people can enjoy this place. You might make a lot more money if you grant day admission for the fun stuff!
Family's been going for few years now and kids always have fun plenty of things to do with family and friends
Man I really wanted to like this place. My family camps extensively and are currently making our way back to Michigan over the next six weeks in our tt. It's not that the place isn't beautiful. It's got a great location, the sites are decent and the future amenities look awesome. Where they fail badly however is in the essence of a Jellystone. This place and it's staff just doesn't get it yet. First of we arrived at 5: 20 on Tuesday evening to find the office closed. A forgiveable offence except we had no clue what to do. Eventually someone on a golf cart happened to show up and pointed us to a gray box down the way. Nothing is worse than coming to a new place like a Jellystone and simply being pointed in the right direction. By the time we got nearly backed in to our site a guy showed up to see if we needed something. Generally an odd welcome when compared to other much more customer centric Jellystones we have been to. There was a lot of construction which we knew about. What we didn't expect was the heavy machinery rolling at 7 am during the parks quiet hour! It was what it was. Friday rolled around and finally we had some activities to look forward to. My three year old was dying to see Yogi. The schedule said 6pm so he headed to the pavilion and playground area where all the kids were. 730 rolled around and the damn bear never bothered to show up. You can imagine how disappointed my 3 year old was. What's the point of a schedule if you aren't going to keep it? The next morning we did ceramic painting. When we finished we had to take our wet painted stairs with us. Other Jellystones let them dry and hand them to you later which makes so much more sense than trying to tell my 3 year old he can't hold on to his art piece until it's finished. Then tie dye that afternoon. They literally had prayers on how to do it. I only saw one helper for the huge crowd. You would think at $10 a pop they could afford to throw a few folks at it in order to properly set the pattern. Overall I really wanted to like this place. I'm glad we are leaving tomorrow. This place has a long way to go to understand the franchise, what it's programming is for and what is expected when people pay a premium for the Jellystone brand. I read this place used to be a Koa and to me its still run like one except it's nearly twice the nightly rate now.
