21 *Update*
Alrighty. I had to change my post and lower the rating to two stars bc yesterday was interesting to say the least. I walk in after work on Thursday for a beer and head to the bar. When I try to get talking to the bartender some rude European female hostess comes out of nowhere telling me I can’t be in there bc the place is reserved. Ok…so I start heading out when a nice Latin waitress tells me seating is available outside (something the hostess neglected to tell me). Then I take up refuge outside only to have this hostess bark at me about needing to switch to a smaller table bc I’m by myself. The Latin waitress witnesses this and gives me that reassurance look almost like the European lady is always like this. I switch tables and at this point just want to buy my beer and leave. Then I’m sipping my beer and this European male waiter starts asking me more than once am I going to order anything. No I just want a beer and you’re not even my original waiter. I was so annoyed I couldn’t even enjoy myself. Mind you I’m a military member and spent many years in Europe. This is not the way I was treated over there. That hostess needs some ethics training asap. Not sure I’ll ever come back. I can get my Delirium tremens at the Biergarten on H st cheaper anyway.
*original post* Accidentally ran into this place while taking a stroll. Glad I came in. A nice selection of Belgium beers on draft and tasty waffles. Bartender was nice and helpful. I’ll be coming back for sure.
