Brewery Bluejacket reviews
27Definitely a popular place. Was crowded on Thursday evening. Outdoor and indoor dining available. Reservations recommended but not required. Masks required to enter. Ordering food and drink is all online through their app and QR code at each table. The place is clean and the servers are nice. When you order, you have to tip in advance.no exchange of credit cards. You do it all through the app. Use open table for reservations. It was easy.
Love the beer here! The Galaxy hopped beers are my favorites!
My wife and I always get the pretzel because it's just yummy.plain and simple yummy.
I got the wings, they were truly good and juicy. The sauce was really good too!
Wow guys. I really wanted to leave a good review for this place but just had a horrible takeout item and that is why I am leaving 3 stars but would possibly change it to 4 or even 5 after my next visit in a few days, but anyway I had a order for 1 beer and 1 shot and the crispy potato skins togo and everything was ok except for the 15 min wait with no one coming to reassure me that my order was coming and I didn't even receive water. So after this I get my order i am driving home and look at my order closely and nothing but dry potatoes and disappointment, I was told it was awesome and a popular item so I was expecting seasoned potatoes with nice amounts of cheese, bacon, green onion but It was a nothing like that because I seriously had a 2 tablespoons of cheese, no seasoning, I didn't even get bacon. W T F! Wow I'm done.
Can't wait to come back post-COVID! Had a lot of fun despite the social distancing - beer selection was good (Mexican Radio kicked my butt) and I loved the food. Thanks Bluejacket!
I was super disappointed in this place! Took family that were in town for lunch and made a reservation. The place was empty so its ridiculous that they even take reservations! There is no Service here- literally no service! You order by QR code which is fine, but if you need napkins, questions, flatware.good luck! We started off order beers and when the waitress arrived with 2 of 3 she said the one I ordered was out. I asked about something similar and she huffed and said "I really don't know they are all the same". This is a brewery where they make beer- People who work there should know about beer! Server was incredibly rude and was so over everything- shocking as they automatically add 18% tips to your order. We decided to have our drinks and go elsewhere for lunch.
The staff know beer, the food is probably better than the beer, and the atmosphere is welcoming. I suggest the hush puppies, brussel sprouts, and all the entrees.
Twenty-two taps of awesome in-house brewed beer situated in a cavernous yet cozy three story warehouse style atmosphere. Offers a decent selection of pub fare style menu items, wine, and liquors. Multiple tv's for bonding with fellow patrons over the big game while a hip and varied playlist blankets the space.
Good beers, nice food, and a hip place to hang out. But, as a former "Bluejacket" (term for Navy enlisted) I expected more of a naval theme than I encountered.
Great atmosphere and great personnel. Food is what you'd expect at a brewery first, restaurant second kind of place.
Good food. Way too pricey.
The mumbo sauce chicken sandwich, falafel burger, trout dip, chicken wings, tots and brownie sundae are good.
Staff is nice. Restaurant is clean.
Pictured is the falafel burger, tots and brownie sundae.
We had a good time at Bluejacket! Went with a group of friends on a Saturday night. The place was lively but not too crazy. We sat outside and there were warm heaters. The beers were fantastic and a great price! $6-8 for a tall glass. The food was good but expensive for what it was.
One of the finest brewpubs and eateries in DC. A wide variety of beers brewed on premises and a well thought out menu catering to diverse tastes. Get the loaded tater tots! You will not be disappointed!
Good selection of beers available. I like that it's not just one style available, like so many places which only pump out ipas. I only had appetizers and they were ok I prefer classic pretzels and wings but others may prefer their take on these items. The men's bathroom was very usable.
The service was phenomenal, even though the place was packed. The food was incredible and the beer was amazing. The atmosphere in the building was great. There was mood lighting, but it was easy to read the menus. Definitely find time to stop here if you are in D. C and like farm to table food and beer!
The beer list includes something for everyone. Be sure to ask which ones are rotating since its usually something interesting. Its always pretty packed in the bar area so get there early, especially on game days.
I would have loved to try this restaurant 2 hours before a Nats game! There were lots of empty tables but we were told these were for 'reservations. " We waited and waited, and had a couple of beers. We waited some more - despite the empty tables - and went to Willie's BBQ next door, which was great.
Walked in and the restaurant was empty but the bar was packed. Tried to find space at the bar and couldn't. Asked the hostess for a table and she literally refused to seat us because we just wanted drinks and appetizers instead of entrees. You can't make this up. What a way to ruin a night and turn away potential customers.
The beer is decent and the food was soso. I had a Caesar salad which I thought had too much dressing and the mussels. The mussels were good though! I had 2 sour beers which I both liked and a HUGE glass of white wine. I was impressed with the large pour. The waitstaff weren’t the nicest, which irked me because it wasn’t busy at all. The atmosphere is pretty cool and I’d love to go back during the summer or in a few weeks because they have heaters outside.
Interesting selection of beer on tap, good finger food, nice atmosphere, even got a outdoor grill.
This is one of a kind of restaurant i belive it has the best burger in dc that i have tried (Bluejacket Double) best burger loved it you should all try it
