Brewery Bluejacket reviews
27Seating is mildly hard to get because this place is so popular. Choices of brews were excellent, food was also worthy of five stars.
This restaurant is beyond disappointing. The bar area is too busy to sit in, then you can't sit in the regular seating unless youre getting full entrees, then half the patio has you order inside. This place doesnt know how to do business, if im paying for appetizers and drinks i deserve a seat anywhere. It isnt busy outside of the bar seating. This place needs to sort out their priorities as people can still tip plenty without getting a full entreee.
Great beer selection but food menu does not offer much in some basic selection for those that like to eat healthier
Great spot in the Yards that is close to the Washington nationals ball park and Navy Yard metro. Unique in the many craft and IPA beer offerings but known for excellent quality of food. Friendly servers, excellent location and stellar food make Blue Jacket one of my fave spots in DC
Nice inviting space inside with loads of light. There is a wide variety of beers on tap including cask beers. Tater tots are great with the horseradish mayo although expensive at $7. Unfortunately bartender was terrible——he wasn’t paying attention to the patrons at the bar so loooong waits to get served or for second beers. Would’ve ordered more but after barely filling my taster of a cask beer and announcing I got the last of the keg, he didn’t even offer to take that off my bill (it wasn’t a full 4 oz).
Worth a one-time visit but not a repeat.
I think this restaurant does what it intends to do quite well. The staff is pleasant, courteous and knowledgeable. The restaurant is clean, and the food seems reasonably priced. We also appreciated the warmth of the gas burning fire pits on the patio as it was late March and we chose to sit outside. That said, this restaurant, which is also a functioning brewery, caries the shiny stainless steel look throughout, and it is not an ambience that is particularly appealing to me, though clearly it must be to others. Trying to be objective, I gave this restaurant four stars, because I think for many people it will be a very enjoyable place to meet friends and have a beer, which is, after all, what restaurants of this sort are all about.
The food was very good and the beer selection was strong, with plenty of different options all on tap and not too pricey. The dining room was open with high ceilings and plenty of seating. The outdoor area looked great but the weather was not favorable. Biggest problem was our server seemed a little overwhelmed by our large table (12 people). A few drinks took more than 10 minutes to come back, and 1 entree' order was not placed with the other orders. We worked out the dilemma and were comped the meal. Overall a nice place down near nats park. Large groups may have to be more attentive to making sure everything is noted.
