La Colombe Coffee Roasters reviews
36The coffee is great, and so is the location. It would be perfect but I always sense some snottiness from the personnel. This is why I am taking off one star.
Coffee was ok, I wish employee was more concerned about taking my order instead of prancing around because rude and dismissive!
If you're a coffee lover, LA Colombe is probably as good as it gets. Great service and pastry as well. Highly recommend!
The coffee and pastries were really good, but -1 star for inability to warm up the croissant and -1 closed indoor seating and no outdoor options.
The coffee here is amazing! Taste so good. I tried it when I visited DC so if you’re going to the Alley Museum, you gotta try it!
Nice enough place, unfortunately the staff is much more focused on making sure customers follow COVID protocols instead of getting your order correct. Three straight days of visits, only one visit with the order being correctly prepared. But at least they make sure that you follow the arrows on the floor.
Just order this Almond cappuccino and Bourbon Caramel Coffee Cake for my breakfast, just do the take out orders since I am going to work. The staff do it quickly in a friendly manner. Recommended.
The best coffee in the District, by far. I'm not surprised. If you've ever visited other Philadelphia-based cafes and restaurants, they often out-perform D. C.places. I don't know why. In this case, definitely a more advanced and enjoyable coffee experience as compared to the China Coffee Shop and Peregrine chain, to name a few.
Lovely place, the food is good and the staff is very welcoming. Also the aircon is on point. Best place to have breakfast in the neighborhood.
Great coffee, best staff. I go almost every day (at least until now while the whole city is basically temporarily closed). Wanted to let you guys (the staff) know you're missed!
If you are in town for a conference this is a great escape from the long coffee lines inside! Plus they are great coffee roasters, nice place to enjoy a latte and croissant.
Great coffee, but 1 hour before closing as one is enjoying the coffee, you smell chlorine as the floors are being washed and everything is being cleaned up. This does not make a very nice experience as you are paying for the atmosphere, experience in addition to quality drinks and treats. Perhaps 10 minutes to closing one may expect this atmosphere, however 1 hour prior to closing leaves a bad taste. Hope that management takes notice and addresses this policy, may be its only in this location. There are 8 people in the cafe, so it is obviously patronized at this time.
The boy behind the counter with make up (no offence we are extremely accepting people) yells after we ve had coffee and pastries to clear up our own table? ! No issue but no where did it say self service and we didn’t ask for take out! Great coffee but we will never come back or recommend! Terrible customer service.
There is such a thing as asking nicely dude!
The coffee here is amazing which is true for every La Colombe I've been in. Their draft latte is like drinking a coffee milkshake. What is interesting about this one is that it managed to find a section of DC that is closed off to vehicle traffic which gives it the atmosphere of an old world store.
The best way to awaken yourself is to have a cup of coffee. Either you want it mild or strong, this coffee shop can provide the taste you are looking for.
We just followed the crowed and it led us to this coffee place. It wasn’t disappointing at all! Very good coffee and bakeries. It resides in Blagden Valley which was interesting itself. It was an old shabby part of town now is under going transforming to a better place. The colorful murals lighten up the valley. Parking was easy (from what I observed) just park on the brick road.
Excellent range of coffees and espresso, talented staff that are knowledgeable and service-minded!
Nice coffee shop. Good coffe, good selection and good service. I got a dark roast Corsica. Very rich and bold cup of coffee. I'll likely return.
Very down to earth location and the employees are super friendly and the mocha was amazing can’t complain here!
I'm sure we all wish it were bigger, but I love that it's in the alley. Charming and I bring all my out of town visitors.
