La Colombe Coffee Roasters reviews
36This review is solely based on the taste of the coffee. The shop appeared to be pretty neat on the inside but I waited outside with the dog while my wife grabbed coffee. I got a cold brew coffee and it was room temperature and the flavor assumed the plastic cup it was in. I recommend serving the cold brew chilled and not relying on ice and also get better cups and straws that do not affect the taste of the product.
Coffee is good as you would expect from La Colombe, but their customer service was quite deficient. Staff seemed unhappy about being there. Much better service at their NYC locations where you are greeted warmly. It is a shame their customer service is not commensurate with the quality of their coffee.
A coffee shop with no wifi (?) and made me move after 10 minutes to set up for an art display. Super frustrating.
Stunning atmosphere and great customer service. Wooden tables and chairs, marble bar, all inside an old brick building-very industrial look. Coffee refills are a $0.75 for a 12 oz and $1 for a 16 oz. Free sparkling water. No Wifi.
I recommend ordering "for here" whenever practical (seating can be hard to find on a weekend) since the dishware (cup and saucer) make you feel right at home!
I got an espresso here and it was great. The service was quick and it was great to see they had sparkling water on tap. The space was open and welcoming inside the shop. I loved the location of the coffee shop in the middle of the alley.
Good location, small amount of seating but have always found a place to sit. Great quality drinks like all the la Colombe locations!
Really excellent coffee, located very close to the convention centre. Also tried the chocolate espresso biscotti and it was great too!
It’s always busy but for good reason. Great coffee, friendly service and delicious baked goods. They strategically place the cabinet of savoury and sweets in front of the area where you queue so you’ll definitely walk out with more than what you came here for.
Cute little coffee spot, with great atmosphere. Tried the nitro coffee latte, delicious so silky smooth!
Fantastic coffee, really nice atmosphere. Cozy in the winter. Airy in the summer. If you like coffee and are in D. C, this is your place!
Great coffee in multiple locations in DC - The baristas are friendly, and they have varieties of whole bean nicely packaged and ready for home use.
Come here for ~$3.00 craft coffee and friendly service - but keep in mind, no wifi offered here.
This continues to be one of our favorite La colombe locations. Always friendly and helpful staff, killer coffee and tasty pastries. This morning my husband and I played hooky from work in order to get some cappuccinos and the almond chocolate croissant. We noticed that they don't have Wi-Fi. However that doesn't seem to deter people from parking their engrossed in great conversation.
Not a great location and uninformative staff, would not recommend going when there are many better places in the area.
We came as a group of 7 after hearing great reviews about this place. We arrived around 5: 30 and a member of our party ordered a hot tea. We were told that they were about to close, the baristas had an obvious attitude, mentioning they would have to reclean the equipment because they shut down half the coffee shop. The tea wasn't bad, but the baristas weren't very friendly.
Located in a hidden alley, this very special place has an industrial look with a narrow corridor where thy fitted a row of tables. If you drive there, it's a bit tricky to find and get there because there is no convenient parking near by. Coffee is good though.
